What happened? Ok I think I know.

So I took the picture in my profile a while ago and back then I started to notice a six-pack coming and that put a smile in my face.

But then, a few weeks later I started to notice I was getting fatter (my guess was that it was due to drinking protein shakes and decreasing my cardio routine to once every two weeks).

I guess my question is…can I do both bulk up and work on a six-pack or should I take it in steps, bulk up and then work on loosing weight. Any comments are much appreciated.

    Bulk and then Cut in seperate phases. You can still do cardio (not too much during the bulking phase though as your body will start using muscle cells for energy) to minimize fat gain. The fat gain is the bit that frustrated me because i get into a pattern of bulking then realise i need to cut fat pretty much straight after starting the routine.
