"Back up to 215lbs...and yes...again I'm round. I've fallen off the wagon so to speak. I can' seem to find the motivation to get back into it. Hopefully I can soon, this is getting a little rediculouse. Time for a change, just need the how."

Off week…and…hostile territory?

My off week was timed perfectly and I couldn’t of planned it any better if I had control.  Had to go across state for three days this week (day one today) for training.  My dealer just got the Isuzu Medium duty franchise and I’m the guy they sent to train.  Logical choise as I’m the one that’s been doing most of the GM and Isuzu medium duty for years anyway.   I’m also the guy that has the most expierence w/ diesel in the shop.  I’m also the one that has the most drive to WANT to work on this stuff.  So…a 4 hour drive after work yesterday, I role in around 9:00pm.  I’m the kinda guy that likes to know what’s gonna happen before it happnes.  So the night before, I spent an hour or so on google maps planning everything out.  My route to the hotel from home, then to the dealer we are doing the training at.  Then all the restraunts in the surrounding area.  I used both map and satallite images, so I already knew what to everything looks like.  I didn’t even need the directions I printed out.  I some how memorized all the street names at home that I would need.  All of them numbers.  I come from a town of around 350,000+.  We actually use NAMES for streets.  Up here in Lynnwood, everything is a number.  Dosn’t matter if it runs N&S or E&W.  So…that was a miracle in and of itself, that I memorized ANYTHING.

Anyway, got to the hotel, checked in.  I was on the fourth floor (top floor) all the way in back.  No problem.  Get up to my room.  What’s the first thing I notice?  Someone has used a crow bar inbetween the door jam and door at the latch to pry the door open.  The scratches are fresh.  I bring all my stuff into the room anyway, glad for the first time I’ve brought my Ruger P94 w/ 4 loaded spare mags.  Usually it’s just dead weight.  (yes I have a permit to carry concealed-and yes I know the time I need it will be the time I DON’t bring it).  So…I’m sitting in the room and unwinding after the drive, thinking a bit.  I decide to go look around.  I check all the places in my room where anyone can hide for one.  Then, I check the door again.  I’m out in the hall and find all the other doors have steel plates bolted to the door jam in front of the latch to prevent that kinda thing from happening.  Except mine.  There is no plate nor has there ever been one on this door.  Second thing I notice, I’m right next to the stair case.  There is a camera in the all.  Right in front of my door.  It’s about 2 feet in front of the door and 2 feet from the wall (my door is in a corner at the end of the hall).  So, someone can come up the stairs hand hug the wall, get behind the camera and jimmy the door.

I WAS gonna just deal w/ it.  Figuring it was an isolated incident.  But the more I thought bout it, the more I didn’t want to chance it.  So I went down to the desk, told the night manager about it.  He comes up to take a look, and tells me he will move me to a diff. room.

Much better, the internet even works in this room (not the other one).  Still got the Ruger by the bed though and it goes everywhere I do.  Talked to a buddy of mine last night who used to live up here and he said this isn’t all that great of a neighbor hood.  Got outa class early today, so now I gotta figure out what to do w/ my time.  The powers that be at work thought it would be quite funny to give me the purple Equinox to drive up here.  Sheez, talk about embaressing.

So, this is my off week.  Good thing too.  The wieght room is pitifull here.  A bike, an eliptical, and a multi-station cable machine w/ a weight stack.  It’s backed up against the wall so even if I wanted to attempt to waste the time, I could only do about two things on it.

Maybe I’ll take a nap.  Not much else to do and it sounds pretty good.

Later
