8-WEEK SUMMER SLIMDOWN

This week I am going to try the sample meal plan in the article.  I am praying that I can stay on track because I am an emotional eater.  When I have a stressful day, I turn to sweets and wine.  This morning I consumed:

1. Lipo 6

2. 1 serving muscle milk light (chocolate milk)

3. 1 slice of whole wheat toast (with butter)

I will do an hour on my crosstrainer after I put my son down for a nap (approx. 1pm).  And my goal is to have a low carb day with no cheats (since I cheated all day yesterday).  Does anyone have suggestions for my emotional eating habits????  Please help!

I saw on tv that if you comsume lots of eggs and meat it releases hormones to stop you craving for sweet stuff. So when your high protein diet gets on the way you wont even want the sweet stuff.
Also jelly, or do you guys call it jello in the states, well that is perfect for a sweet craving as it contains hardly no carbs or fat content.
I am in the same boat as you, trying to stick to a high protein diet. I made some nice tasting protein bars the other day, the ingredients are in my bodyblog, try them.

Have a glass of water then pop a stick of gum, and promise yourself you will wait a min. of 15 min before hitting the wine or sweets. It won’t work every time but you might find it helps once in a while.

If trying to wach the carbs, I always opt for nuts. Yeah they have a somewhat high fat content, but that’s why even a few can totally satisfy any hunger - real or perceived.

5 of 7 days per week, I end the night with a spoon of peanut butter and a glass of Vanilla Soymilk. Then sleep like a baby.

Anyway, many competitors will have a few almonds incorporated in the contest diet. Needed fat, ,the ‘good’ fat and an emotional satisfier.

Try to keep positive. Call a friend, Go to your mirror or do 100 crunches. These have worked for me when I have a bad day and want to eat. Anything to take your mind off eating badly. Remember, you got this far by working hard and eating RIGHT!

    Good Luck!
