Embarking On A New Journey

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

Tomorrow, Monday July 20, 2009, I will be embarking on a new journey in my life. All thanks to www.fitnesspoynters.com

I am kind of worried about the diet portion, I have never been good at them. Actually, to be honest, I am worried about the whole damn thing. I am determined to complete this 12 week program though!

I am super excited and I am going to do whatever it takes to get my Body Fat and size down. I have been slacking off for far too long. I deserve to be happy, and this is a way to acheive that happiness.

I will be trying to BodyBlog everyday and let you know how things go. Although, given that I am deployed to Iraq right now that may be a little sketchy.

Once again, thanks www.fitnesspoynters.com You’re Awsome!

Like a virgin….

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

Ok, so I did it! I had someone take some ‘before’ pictures of me. OMG, did I feel like a dork! It was like it was my first time or something. I didn’t know what to do or how to do it… my friend and I started singing ‘Like a virgin…’ it just seemed to fit.

It was so hard for me to post the pictures, I am so embarrassed and disgusted by them. I never thought that I was that big. But if you look at my motivation level it went all the way to 10! Seeing those pictures made me really see that I need to change my lifestyle.

Thanks to all of you for the support. Keep it coming, I know I will need it!

Ok so this morning didn’t go very well. I woke up at 0700 for PT but had a HUGE migraine… OMG when I walked outside it felt like I just wanted to die! Well, I couldn’t just crawl back into bed like I wanted to seeing as how I have to do PT with the 1SG and several others. After getting dressed and taking some Motrin (The Army’s answer for everything) I walked to the gym… Didn’t feel like doing much at all but I wouldn’t just sit in the gym and do nothing so I got on the StairMaster for 20 minutes then did push ups and situps. Not much, but hey at least I did something this morning right? I think I am going to order some resistance bands like someone told me, they said they will help while I am on leave because they are easy to pack and all. It is now 1330 and my migraine still has not gone away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn’t help that the air conditioner keeps ‘clicking’… OMG I want to rip it off of the walll! Hope ya’lls day is going better than mine.

I just wanted to apologize to those of you who did reply to me and/or leave me some inspirational comments. As the day goes on and I figure out how to use this site more and more I figured out that people had left me messages and/or comments. Just wanted to apologize to those of you who I slammed… of course I did not mention names… haha

Thanks Again!

Rants & Raves

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

Alright, so being in Iraq you would think that I would have all the motivation in the world to work out and get in shape right? Think again, for some reason I just can’t find it. I know what I don’t like about myself and I know what I want to change, but I feel so bombarded with things going on in my life that I just don’t know what to do. Also, when I go into the gym I just feel lost. I have no clue what I am looking at when I walk into a gym and I have no one to motivate me. Yesterday I spent a lot of time on here talking to different people to get some advice… ok, I sent a lot of messages, but only recieved 1 reply… thanks Nick! I hope people aren’t on here just to get their picture looked at and recieve comments. There are people on here who actually need the help! After seeing many many people talking about an Online Personal Trainer, I went and checked him out… seems pretty cool, but I’m still skeptical… it’s a lot of money. Another thing… supplements… I don’t want to take them. I hate having foreign things in my body and I hate taking medicine even when I am sick, but it seems like thats what I am going to have to do… is it? I am so confused by it. Everyone says that I am going to need some type of protein… but WHAT? There are soooooo many… which one? I think I want to take a class to learn about all of this… maybe I will look into it. Well, I think that is enough ranting and raving. I am at work and should probably get back to it. Hopefully tonight I can get some ‘before’ pics done and post them… how often should I post progress pics? Every week? Once a month? What do ya’ll think?

Welcome!
