Six Weeks Out - to First Figure Competition
Six weeks out right now from my first figure competition - the Rocky Mountain in Denver, Co - November 15, 2009.
My goal is to eat 1,310 calories from fat, 400 g of protein per day and <20g of carbs on Keto days. Then I will do a carb up on Friday-Saturday eve. Nervous about eating so much fat ...I think I have been on low-fat /high protein diet for so long that there is a major mental road block for me...but I think I worked through it after my first meal this morning which consisted of two eggs, cheese and 4 strips of turkey bacon...a grand total of 250 fat calories, 20 g of protein and 1 gram of carbs. I think i could eat that meal at least twice a day for six weeks!! Drinking a gallon of water per day has been pretty easy for me - as I have done this for years. Going to the tanning bed 3 days/week now to get a good base going. Aiming to do 30 minutes of cardio 2x per day. Once in the A.M. after I take my Atro-phex and for 30 minutes after lifting. I will just keep at it and try to keep my mind focused on the end result and the goals I have had for so long.
