Thursday 6/12/08 - 4 1/2 weeks to INBF Capital City Naturals
After last nights peeing marathon, I woke up this morning tired, but feeling good after yesterdays initial day of carb loading. I think I peed every 2 -3 hours last night and could feel my muscles trying to cramp up from all the water. I kept my legs straight though and they were not a problem. Today I cut the water back to 2 gallons which should be easy considering I have been consistenly getting 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 every day now for weeks.
I might do a light workout later to keep the carbs moving, but otherwise no or very limited activity. I need to be carefull because my throat feels like crap and I really don’t want to take anything cough drop or syrup wise. They are loaded with sugar which is the last thing I want to take right now. My nose is just slightly runny, and I cough a little in the morning, but otherwise I feel fine. I guess in the grand scheme of things, this was a good time to get sick, if it had to happen. I am not working out, I am eating tons of nutritious food, and my body can fight off whatever it is I have got.

I don’t know if it was the allergies I am fighting, or some sort of reaction from this process but I got a NASTY headache today. I left the gym today at 11:00am and starting feeling what I thought was either a caffiene headache or the onset of one of my migranes. Come 11:30, 12:00 I was miserable. After taking 2 Advil, I layed down on the couch and drifted in and out of sleep. I got up at 12:00 to have my meal and I was nauseated and on the verge of throwing up. Xander was hungry so I forced myself to make him a Kid Quesene before I did anything. Then I managed 2 bites of chicken and a sip or two of water and it started coming back up. My usual treatment is a hot shower and I had started it before I made Xanders lunch so I hurried back and stood under the hottest water I could stand running right on the spot where it hurt. ONce I ran out of hot water, I got out and felt good enough to finish my meal. The thought of vegtables made me nauseated so I had the rest of my chicken, the potatoe, a few sips of water and the potassium. 10 minutes later, here came the nausea again. I knew we were out of hot water so I stuck my head under the kitchen sink as it is on a different hot water system. I managed to fight off the nausea after a few minutes, but it did not work as well as the hot shower. I layed down for what was probably 5 minutes and here it came again. I hustled back to the bedroom to see if there was any hot water. Our system recovers pretty fast and sure enough, there was enough hot water to get in about a 15 minute shower. I got out and passed out with Xander on the bed for about an hour. When I awoke, I was fine. No headache, no nausea, nothing. Even my sore throat felt better. It was just after 2 so I made my Nytro Pro shake which turned out awesome. 8 oz water, some sugar free chocolate coffee syrup, 5g creatine, Nytro Pro and one large shaker of ice mixed in our food processor made a HUGE chocolate mousse, icecream conconction that was DELIGHTfull. At 10:00pm I did the same thing with a Nytro Pro Strawberry that my good friend Ron loaned to me and it was just as good. Those can get addicting, expecially in the summer time.
Little Extras: I put on a coat of moisturizing lotion with hemp this afternoon and got a good 30 minute tanning session in. Another coat of the SUN (R) sunless tanning lotion last night. No workout, I decided to just let my body rest and keep soaking up the carbs.
