Tuesday 6/24/08 - Less than 3 weeks to Capital City Naturals

I woke up this morning tired and unmotivated.  I mae myself get on the bike and ride to the gym regardless of excuses like fatigue, the smoke outside from forrest fires, or any other excuse.  I must be my absolute best in 19 days and it is days like this that will get me there.  GET UP AND GET MOVING DAMN IT!!!
Training: Traps, Calves, Abs and Forearms
Dumbbell Forearm curls - 60lbs 2×5, 1×4:Last week 55lbs 1×9, 1×7          

Dumbbell Shrugs - 102.5lbs x25, 110lbs x20, 115lbs x17: Last week 105lbs 2 x 16

Toe Raises Free Standing on block with barbell: 225lbs 2 x12, last week none

Barbell Forearm Curls - 105lbs 1×5, 1×4: last week 95lbs 1 x 10, 100lbs 1×7

Calf Press: 600lbs 3×10 :Last week 570lbs 1×10, 590lbs 1×7

Crunches on Roman Chair - 26lbs x15, 35lbs x 8, Last week 26lbs 1×11 1×8

Barbell Shrugs - 365lbs 1 x10, 1x 7, Last week 315lbs 1×12, 365lbs 1 x 10

Nutrition: This will be a slightly lower carb day today, as I will replace my oatmeal pancake with a pumpkin pancake.  35 calories less and 8 grams of carbs.  I am also replacing my usual 1/2 cup of pumpkin and VP2 with a 1/2 of a Nytro Pro 40.  This is a reduction of another 8 calories.  I will go back to my regualr menu for tomoorows grueling leg training day.
1:00am - 6 BCAA 4500, 2 Myo-D, 1 CLA

4:30am - 1 Xocai Chocolate Power Square, 2 dymetadrine Extreme

5:30am - 1 Scoop VP2, 1/2 Scoop Creatine HSC, 5g GL3, 1g BetaAlanine, 2g Creatine

7:30am - 1 Scoop VP2, 1/2 Scoop Creatine HSC, 5g GL3, 2g Creatine.

8:00am - 1/2 cup egg beaters, 2.1oz russett potato

8:30am - 1/2 Met Rx Shake

10:20am - 1/2 Nytro Pro, 2 Myo-D, 1 CLA, 1g Beta Alanine, 1 Beta X, 4 BCAA 4500, 5g Creatine, 5g GL3

12:00pm - 1/2 Metrx Shake, Black Decaf Coffee

2:00pm - 4 oz Chicken, 6 oz Veggies, Salsa, Butter Spray

4:00pm - 1/2 MetRx Shake, Dymetadrine Extreme, 1 CLA, 3 BCAA 4500, 1 Beta X

6:30pm - 1/2 Metrx Shake

8:15pm - Pumpkin Pancake and Xocai Power Square.

9:30pm - 4 oz Chicken, 6 oz mixed veggies, salsa, butter spray

Totals: 1639 Calories, 230.5g protien, 128.5g carbs, 19g fat

Cardio:  I had a hard time this afternoon with the energy levels.  I was up, I was down, I was grouchy, I was not, in any case, as soon as I got done training Jamie I had 20 minutes before I had to be at a CPR class.  I snatched the Kettlebells up and down the rack until I felt like my hand was going to come off from the lack of grip.  With only minimal breaks in between, this is what I did.

52lbs - 55 reps

44lbs - 30 reps

35lbs - 10 reps

35lbs - 20 reps

44lbs - 10 reps

52lbs - 10 reps

My heart felt like it was going to explode.  At 8:00pm as I was eating my pumpkin pancake and I almost felt like I was having some sort of attack.  I think it was just my blood sugar being low because after I had my Xocai Power Square, I felt pretty good.

Little Extras:  I am on a roll with riding my bike to and from the gym at least once per day.  It not only saves the all valuable liquid gold we are usng for fuel, but it keeps the energy expenditure up.

At 3:30pm I did 3 sets of 10 x 10s on chest and back, quads and hams, and biceps and triceps.  Then I went outside and held each pose for 30 seconds while Jamie took some photos.  It was a very tiring day.
