Good Morning Everybody!

Just got back from the gym.  Feel so much better today.  Had a great workout, did chest, tris and a little bit of shoulders.  And of course I did my 1 1/2 hours of cardio, lol.  You people should try mixing a protein shake with your choice of a protein bar, omg it’s so good! At least I think so.  It’s funny how for years you see the same people going to the gym but they never change their body.  I always want to go up to them and try to help, but they might get offended.  Hopefully someday they will wake up.  Hope everyone has a great day and eat clean!  Until then….

p.s. I need to find somemore Beavis and Butthead shots, anyone have any?  Please let me know they are great!

I work out at a YMCA and all you see are people that have been coming for years who never change their body.

But I think that this is because the Y weight room is more of a social area than a workout room. However, there is one 280 pound guy who comes in and only exercises his forearms… don’t know if that is what he considers working out… somehow he still gets a sweat going…

Nice. I have never tried mixing the protein shake and protein bar - I might have to try that. You do 1 1/2 hours of cardio straight? That’s pretty impressive.

I see this one guy that’s probably mid-late 20’s, and approx 25-35 lbs overweight. Everyday I see him, and he does 15-20 min’s of wts on machines & an entire hour of CASUAL walking on the treadmill. Mind you, he bothers to hit the gym at 5am to do this. He’s 20 yrs younger than me & I’ve seen no change in 9-12 mths. I share your urge to go up & offer some tips, but don’t want to offend. I’m hoping he’ll notice that I’m not a youngster & get curious as to how I’m in much better shape…….I’d love to give him 5 min’s of advice that could change his life………

Right on, Heather. It’s sad really, but I don’t say anything. I figure they’re doing the best they can, and they figure, if they did NOT go to the gym, they’d look WORSE. BTW, you don’t need the age qualifier. You look great PERIOD. -Manny

But at least they go to the gym. Too many people do not even try to get in shape. And sometimes by continuing to go they eventually pick up on better ways to do things.

So far, I only like to mix my shakes with bananas. I’m kind of a believer in eating whole foods, so I feel guilty when I only have time to drink a shake as it is.

You are soooo right about the people at the gym making ZERO progress! How about the ones that sit on a machine for an hour talking on the cell phone? WTF?

  7. roselinbutris Says:

lol… im embarrassed for those people who go to the gym and do cardio while chatting and texting on their cells. they look like idiots. sorry to say.

better yet … there’s a guy who’s always at the gym around the same time as I….ill be doing the elliptical on an intense level so im just concentrating on my breathing and feeling the burn …all awhile this guy is walking rapidly back and forth on his cell right in-front of me for about an hour straight. Its unbelievably annoying. might i mention…i go to lifetime fitness the gym is massive and this guy can sit downstairs, in the locker room, or even just behind the cardio machines and chat. But it never fails he literally walks back and forth in my isle right in-front of my eyes. UGh! lol.
