Listening Works!
So I did "quadzilla and abs" (please see previous posts) Tuesday and took yesterday off (except morning cardio and calves, and cardio this morning with abs…ok i’m turning int oa freak about this…) and I feel incredibly better then I did on the last post. So the rest is in.
Planning to do shoulders later today and back exercises tomorrow.

I like the HIT routines in Mike Mentzer’s book. I think the research and science he used makes sense. But it is only one way of training. The old-school bodybuilders did more volume training and got the same results. It just depends on how much you like to lift. I can tell you one thing though. Once you figure out your max weights on each of the excersises and do all of them in HIT fashion, you will be exhausted the next day. You have to take 2-3 days off between workouts to recover. Physically you might not be super sore, but you will be mentally. It takes me 2 days to feel back to normal after a high intensity workout. Anyway, I’d recommend "High Intensity Training, the Mike Mentzer Way" to purchase. Very smart bodybuilder. It is a little wordy, but if you can get through that, you’ll enjoy just how much sense Mike Mentzer made in his approach to bodybuilding.
