Broke through my plateau

October 31, 2008

I finally broke though my plateau last week.  I realized that I wasn’t eating enough and my body was in a state of starvation.  I lift weights in the morning and do abs and cardio after work.  I was doing this Mon-Fri but I was only eating 14-1700 calories a day.  Now I’m eating 22-2600 calories a day and can feel the difference in the way I feel.  It also gives me more energy to work out.  I’m loving the new progress.  I now realize that I won’t be able to reach my original goal but no matter what, I’m going to keep it up until I do.

Hit a plateau.

October 16, 2008

I managed to hit a weight loss plateau.  I think I’m slowing still losing body fat but gaining muscle in the process.  I actually went up in weight but stayed about the same measurements.  This week I changed from working chest & back twice a week to doing only one body part a day.  I am also switched from MAP Arson ton BSN Atro-Phex.  We’ll see if all this will help lose the fat.  I also started doing interval training for my cardio.  I’ll keep everybody posted.

Back at it!!!

September 23, 2008

I didn’t workout much last week as I was in Germany on business and I didn’t get to the gym that much.  I’m back at it hard again this week with lifting before work and then doing abs and cardio after work.  They turn into long days but I like the way I feel.  I’ll have to keep up the carb intake as before I was getting a little weak towards the end of the week when I did two-a-days.  I also started playing football so I also have that keeping me busy on the weekends.  I think last week was like an small rest and now I’m ready to hit it hard again!!

Reps question?????

September 5, 2008

I’ve been thinking alot and I’ve got alot of feedback from alot of different people.  How many reps should I be doing to burn fat but keep the muscle that I have?  Should I do 8-10-12 or 10-12-15 rep sets?

Just got weighted and taped!!!

September 5, 2008

I don’t like the weight to much but with me lifting weights I figure that I’m building muscle.  My body fat went down about 3%.  That’s awesome!!!  I’m a quarter of the way done with my training and I’m loving it so much.  I had a gym at the gym get in my head and that ruined my lifting a little bit but I got over it.  I’m going to be hitting it hard again on Monday.  Monday I start lifting in morning and doing cardio in the afternoon.  I’ll keep everybody posted.

Day 15

September 3, 2008

I’m feeling awesome today.  I just started doing 20-30 minutes of cardio before work and then when I get off work I lift weights.  It’s taking alot of focus to keep me doing this but it’s going to be worth it in the end.  I’ve already seen alot of changes in the weight I’m lifting.  I’m not completely trusting the scale as I figure that I’m building muscle along with losing fat.  I get measured on Friday so I’ll post my new measurements then.

Just getting started again.

August 19, 2008

This is the beginning of a long road ahead.  I will be getting taped tomorrow so I will then post my measurements.  I know they are not going to be good but it will give me a starting point.  I have been putting this off for way too long.  I now have a personnal trainer that is going to push me to do what I have been lagging to push myself to do.  I hope this works and I’ll keep my improvements posted.
