June 19, 2008Legs & lower Back PM workout.
Already had a workout early in the morning. Ran 5 miles under 40 minutes at around 7 and then went to the gym for a leg workout.
I wanted to shoot for more of a hamstring and glute focus on today’s workout, so I started off with deadlifts. Since im trying to compete soon, I was looking to do high reps too. This is what it all ended up looking like, for the 1RM calculator, I would end up breaking a PR.
Warm up - 10 minutes on arc trainer.
Deadlift
225 x 20
275 x 15
315 x 15
335 x 12
Hack Squat - Superset with - lunges
3 plates on each side x 15 (3 sets)
Superset
50 lb lunges, 15 each leg (3 sets)
Romanian Deadlift - Superset with - back extensions
225 x 15 (3 sets) ** on a block so I can get more of a stretch
Superset
45 x failure (3 sets)
Leg Extension superset with lying leg curls
180 x 20 (3 sets)
Superset
140 x 15 (3 sets )
Cool down on a spin bike for 10 minutes
Stretch for another 10 minutes - then sauna for another 10 -
