Well I was happy with my progress last week and that I made both my weekend cardio sessions. I lost 4.5lbs and I feel alot better. I also did not write anything down all weekend. I plan to get back in that habit today.
Today is exciting because at 2pm I am going to the doctors with my wife and we our gettting our first ultrasound. That means I will probably find out whether I am having a boy or a girl today. That’s exciting. I just hope that the baby is healthy.
Also the new location of my gym opens this week and it is about 2 mins from my house so that is pretty awesome too.

So last night was my night off of lifting and since the weather has been sucking here lately I decided to hit the gym for my cardio. It was about 6:15 when I go there and the gym was packed. I found a elliptical machine in the back of the cardio theater. I haven’t really used one before. I put it on 40 minutes. I was about 20 mins in when I started to think about cutting it short. I was tired and bored.
Then these three college age hoochies came into the theater wearing tiny workout shorts and sports bras. They looked all over for 3 open machines. There were 3 open treadmills right in front of me. They got on the treadmill in front of me and started to jog. Not only did I make the 40 mins I tacked on about an extra 10 minutes to "cool down"
I always laugh at these girls and think they are just stupid sluts that come to the gym to socialize. Today I finally saw their purpose. To keep me motivated.

I usually don’t give in editorial in these blogs normally this is just a space to talk about fitness or what I am doing to reach my goals. (just walked the dog 3.5 miles yesterday)
Today I was moved to write a different kind of post though. It happened as I went to the bodyspace homepage and saw someone elses blog. This girl seemed extremely angry and offended that people were sending her PMs asking if she wanted to chat or for her number. She went on to say that someone was even bold enough to ask if she wanted to trade sexy/nude pics.
I started to get angry now. Why are guys this immature I thought… Then I went to her page to finish reading. That is when I saw her pics. One of her in a mesh shirt with nothing under it! Several of her in panties or thongs! All suggestive as hell and in my opinion not fitness related at all.
I mean seriously why do people do stupid stuff like this? I mean would be like a guy showing his penis to another guy all the time and then being offended when people thought he was gay. Oh wait there was a guy that commented supporting her rant that was almost doing exactly that. He had the pose where he is in his tighties and pulling them down so far you can see where his pubes would normally be. And he thinks its crazy that he gets hit on by gay guys here.
Now here’s what really gets me if you are gonna show it off and be a tease don’t be offended when people judge you based on that. And send me some nudes please if you are a hot girl.

Ok so I decided to just post my totals on here because I can’t just copy and paste my food journal. Calories 1800 Protein 120g
Well I weighed in yesterday at a chubby 233.8lbs. As you can see by my little food journal I am writing down what I eat again. I fell fall short of where I wanted to be. I was trying to get about 2500calories and 180g protein. Hopefully knowing this I can get it to a better level today. Soccer was brutal last night because it was at 11:10 and we had no subs. Then again that was probably good since I am trying to lose some weight. Please if anyone reads this feel free to leave comments and or suggestions.

It won’t be pretty, but the first step is to admit I have a problem. So I will hit the scale see the damage and get back in the gym. Last week I only hit 2 of my 3 weight workouts and 2 of three cardio days but I did clean out my garage on the day I missed cardio. So it was a good week for all that. I decided to keep a log of food intake and calculate the calories as closely as possible. I am doing this mostly to get my late night eating in check. I am not lifting today but I do have bowling and soccer so I will get some excercise in.

I am getting ready to set some goals for this coming year. I want to eventually get my weight under 200lbs. I am not sure since I haven’t weighed in recently but I am guessing that when I weigh in on Jan 1rst I will be in the 230s. I am just trying to decide what time frame I should put on that goal and what time frame to put on my shorter termed goals. Please give me your thoughts on this

Today I have finally gotten back on track with my eating habits. Hopefully I didn’t hurt myself too bad over the holidays. I am going to weigh in tonight after work. We will see what I have to work with. I doubt I will be back to lifting until some time later this week possibly till next week. I hate that I can’t get there but things are too crazy right now. I will be getting in some cardio tonight though.

Ok this has two meanings. 1) the wife is pregnant and I am pretty sure it is mine. 2) Finally I have been given clearance to return to the gym today.
Doc said I need to focus on higher rep ranges and can’t squat anymore. Also out is standing presses. Other than that though I am good to go.
I am going to take a before pic tonight after the gym. And then take a new pic each month. Also tomorrow I turn 31. Not a big birthday, but I am off work for the day so I should be able to hit the gym again.
PS if any Miscers read this I think PP’s giveaways are rigged.

I saw the back cracker last night and he said he thinks I will be good to ease back into things at the gym by monday. I think this whole situation made me realize that being huge isn’t necessary. I am going to focus for the next six months or so on tweaking my diet and uping the cardio. I will never stop lifting weights but this back injury will probably change the way I approach lifting. Either way I can’t wait to get back to the gym.

Well since all I can do right now is light cardio, I have been focusing on my weight and nutrition. Even after Thanksgiving dinner at 2 houses and eating out all weekend I ended up losing a few more pounds. I will hopefully talk to the Doctor on Wed and he will clear me to get back into everything with light weight. He has told me that with my back the way it is I can no longer squat.
Hoefully I can at least get back to bowling and soccer
