Making Progress!

Since Dec 1st I’ve now lost 10lbs. Would like to loose another few lbs. around the mid section before starting to lift a little heavier.  I’ve really cleaned up my diet the last month or so.  The trainer that I started working with has actually become my workout partner as we are both planning to compete before year end.  I’m hoping his knowledge and my enthusiam is going to be a winning combination.  I will post some porgress pics in a month from now to track progress.  Got to get to bed, leg and shoulders tomorrow at 7 a.m!

Heavy Squat day, Go Away Snow, Damn it!

We are gitting hit with more snow today.  This is our second storm in 48 hrs. leaving us with approx. 30 inches of snow on top of the 50 or so inches we already got throughout the month of Dec.  Makes it hard to get to the gym, heck the gym is probably closed anyway.  Read a book yesterday that preached heavy squats for 1-2 sets for 20 reps of your max. weight for ten reps.  Decided to give it a try yesterday as my legs have always been a weak point.  I could hardly breath after the 20th rep of the first set, thought I was having a heart attack after the second set, legs shakin and getting up the stairs was a challenge.  Whoa, sitting today is a chore to say the least.  Going to try this for a few months to see if I can add some size to my wheels.
