It is common but there are things you can do to make it not as bad.

Hot baths, muscle relaxants in the bath, certain supplements that help your muscles and depending on what you want to do with your body a slight change in work out.

If you are bodybuilding 5 to 6 days rest for each body part is good but if you are just doing it for fitness and not to build muscles galore there is other ways to ease the pain.

Let me know if i can help

yes, sore is usually a good thing, it sounds like you just changed your routine, so when you stop getting sore you can change your routine and continue with the pleasure of DOMS.
-as bkuznn says about eating, mostly with the protein, dont waste that hard earned pain.

its about 6 or7 days between body parts. I dont get very sore at all. I think its because of the supplements i take &amp; ive been working out 4 about 2 yrs now. If i go 2wks or so i will get sore. Mostly legs &amp; chest. Make sure u take protein &amp; glutimine before &amp; after work outs. i also take some before bed. Its all about recovery. U might be working a little to hard 4 your own body, U might have to back it down a little.I know thats hard to do. Best of luck.
