I’d like to meet a successful bodybuilder that has similar genetics & background as me & learn from him. Every good bodybuilder I meet, is either much younger than me, or got started as a teen ager. Is there any successful bodybuilder that waited till he was in his 30’s to start w/out any prior athletic back ground ? I’m just wondering if my goals are just simply unattainable now.I was never an athlete, nor even lifted any weights till I was 25 & started going to a gym to lose my gut. I was intimidated by the power lifters so I didn’t do much in the weight room b/c I just felt stupid trying, but when no one was around, I’d hit the weights, but it wasn’t till 5 years later, that I learned that working out 2 or 3 times a week & having a fast food diet, will get you absolutely zero results. At the age of 30, I started to try to get it right, I followed all sorts of bad advice & spent the next 2 years spinning my wheels, until I finally found out how to get my body to grow lean muscle & keep it. I spent one year gaining about 6 lbs of lean muscle only to lose it all in 3 months by doing to much cardio & had to start all back over again. For the past decade I’ve continued to fail at this sport, but every time I get up, w/ another lesson learned on what doesn’t work for me.

Anyway… my goal now is to get as lean & shredded as possible, but I don’t want to risk losing solid muscle trying to do so….. So if you are anything like me, chances are whatever worked for you, could work for me to. I’m open to suggestions.
