No depleting or carb loading??? HELP!!!
One other thing I forgot to add my my last blog is that my trainer told me not to carb deplete/load or water deplete! I have NEVER heard of not doing that. He said my body is already in a catabolic state and you shouldn’t do it. He said just don’t eat the morning of the prejudging except maybe a yogurt. So how do you get to that peak??? I don’t understand and I need help. I don’t know what to do because now I have no one to help me. He said as long as I’m down to 120lbs I’ll be fine.

I am not trying to trump your trainer’s experience but this is new to me, too. Every body is different, but I depleted for most of the week of the com, started loading on Thursday evening, then ate small meals as usual on comp day with a little water. Otherwise, I would have felt awful.
If you are curious about some other options, maybe check out siouxountry.com. There are a TON of women who compete and someone will answer your questions quickly.

The more I look into the trainers that are helping coach the diets of the top girls, I’m seeing that carb loading is done less often, at least in figure. Women will look better in figure with a harder and flatter look. Don’t totally cut out the carbs, but keep them to a minimum. Try cutting out the fats a few days before and add those back in the day before. This can easily be done by using white fish (orange roughy is a personal favorite). If a carb load didn’t go well, you’ll come in soft and squishy. More often, too, people are finding that just cutting off water around 5pm, give or take, the night before a show and adding in a diuretic of choice seems to work best. Make sure you’re getting plenty of potassium though to keep the water you do have in your muscles and drop the subcutaneous water. Its all a learning experience!
