I just found out I made Round #3 of the Bodyspace SPokesmodel Search. I know that being a "last round" finalist, may make me seem less popular maybe as a choice.. but I can say that I learned each round that I had to reach a littlefarther and work a little harder..
I posted on Facebook, one to three times a day. Myspace bulletins, I busied myself writing individuals asking them to vote for me and supporting them in their endeavors. It definately made me more aware of what other people were doing and HOw I LOOK or how I am PERCEIVED by the public.
I realize that if I WON this, that I am a ROLE MODEL and it is a RESPONSIBILITY to be true, to walk the walk, and to be available to answer questions and to also be humble and grateful, because it is ultimately the "fans" that make you.
SO, thank you to those that believe in me, that emailed me words of support, not only through this contest, but my national shows this year as well.
Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in me and support me…
and if you don’t know my story, please read my BIO on my webpage
www.dannyjfitness.com
You can see that I wasn’t always "this" person… I have come a long way.. and had to WORK for everything I have.. I had to WORK for these votes.. and you can guarantee, if I could thank each person individually I would.
Bless you all!

Hi Y’all;)
I just purchased my plane tickets last night to compete in Nationals on Nov. 21st! I will be doing bikini again and I’m super pumped!
I had a hard time with this decision, because I’ve been swamped with clients (a good thing) but time management has been an issue… how am I supposed to train all these people, and myself, and sleep, shower, eat and take care of myself?
Where there’s a will there’s a way I guess. I realized its very easy to rationalize and make excuses for not doing something… IN FACT some of those excuses and rationalizations can sound very legitimate, but we really need to look inside, and ask ourselves is it REALLY the truth.
We all have the same 24 hours. We all choose how we spend that time. I know people that can squeeze more out of 4 hours than other people do in 8!
I thought that I had it dialed down; you know, prepping food, writing my workouts and my schedule in my calander, but NOW I have to schedule almost to the minute! I had two weeks of fumbling around, but I think I can do this! Its funny the way the universe works too, once you make a decision to DO SOMETHING… the days that I thought would be the most hectic turned out to roll smoothly, and things started to not even take as long as I thought.
Just believe and put one foot in front of the other!
And please don’t forget to Vote for me, Danny-J for the next bodyspace spokes model. WE have one week left for Round #2!

If you all have a Max Muscle Franchise in your town, please go take a look at the October issue of their magazine. The whole issue is dedicated to the winners of the MAXFORMATION CHALLENGE.
Basically, the contest was from Jan 2009-June 2009. THe contestants had to take before and after pics and blog along the journey. It was not a weight-loss contest, per se, but overall transformation.
TWO of my clients, made the top 10~!!! (the overall prize was $25,000!!)
One client, Debbie Prosser, ended up at 2nd runner up and they flew her to LA for a photoshoot and two days of primping for the magazine spread. She invited me to go, and the editor of the mag asked me to put together the exercise portion of the magazine and write the article for it! I was so honored!!
I have a short bio on page 6 or 7 and my article is the CHAMPION CIRCUIT
please let me know if you saw it and tell me what you think!!

The Olympia Expo, is, by far, my favorite event of the year. I had a chance to go to Egypt next year and decided not to go because its Olympia weekend (thats what it means to me… and subsequently, I’ll be able to go at a later date)
The last 3 years I have been working at the Egg Whites International Booth. But this year I decided to try something new… I went through a modeling agency and they were under contract with an exhibitor. I agreed to work the booth, however, I didn’t even find out the NAME of the booth until about a week before.. not only that, I’d never heard of them, and I had no idea what I was wearing or who the contact would be.
I ended up working for BRUTAL NUTRITION (BioTEch USA) they are the #1 sports supplements in Europe (hence, why I never heard of them)
THe "booth" was a FIGHT CAGE!! We had this HUGE dude called The Brit… he’s a professional street fighter in Europe. 290 lbs of mass and tattoos!! He was scary!
I got to be on the microphone and have people come take "THE BRUTAL CHALLENGE" which was 50 reps of curls in one minute (66lbs) NOT EASY!!! Some people did not make it. Some people made it, who I never would have guessed… I had an old blind guy do it, Nick (Beast) in a wheelchair do it, a girl do it, and an 85 year old man try it..
It was impressive and I had a BLAST!!
I only went to one after party, which was Satio Photographys party at the VooDoo Lounge on Saturday night. I had fun dancing, until my feet hurt so bad, I made the hubby piggy back me to the car!!
I got to see so many friends, fans, and fitness celebrities… I even ended up having Monica Brant come to my house to do a cover shoot for Status, because Satio didn’t have a studio ready in time.. how cool was that? Monica was sweet and I was happy to help.
Unfortunately, because I was pretty glued to my booth, I couldn’t walk around the expo much, but my hubby did get Alicia Harris’s autograph for me ( I think she’s so adorable) I actually met her at USAs before she went pro last year, and she’s a sweetie too.
When I get a chance, I’ll download the pics and post a few!!

Wow…
So if you read my last blog… I had a bit of a crazy last few weeks… or at least week.. but I was still focused and getting ready to head out to Canada for the WBFF World Championships competing in Figure and Fitness Diva (a show I have been excited about and planning since March or April)
Well… on Monday, out of the blue, while driving, I got a sharp pounding in my head and behind my eyes.. so much so, that I had to pull over. I had a lot of tenderness in the roof of my mouth and throbbing in my head…
To make a long story short… an ER Visit at 3:30am and another Dr. visit later.. I am not in Canada right now where I should be.
It looks like I got a bad sinus infection and it is the most horrible pain I’ve experienced in a long long time.
My trainer told me on Tuesday night that I should bail out of the show, but I secretly hoped I’d have a 100% turn around in 24 hours… not so.. Unfortunately I got a little worse before I got better..
I’m trying to look at things in a positive light… things must happen for a reason right? It’s hard to see something that you worked so hard for so long for and visualized for so long be taken away.. but life isn’t about what happens to you, its about how you respond to it, isn’t it?
I wish ALL of the athletes competing in the WBFF and Team Universe and New York Pro this weekend much fun, much success and much love.. You all better have a blast for me!!
In the mean time, I’ll be loading up on my pain pills and antibiotics, cuz I got Olympia expo to be healthy for!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE
Danny-J
PS Thank you to everyone who has kept me in their prayers this last week. I know I haven’t gotten well, as we all hoped, but I felt the love and comfort and peace with my decision. Thank you!

Sighhh…. so what a week!!!
It IS hard to stay on track when life gets in the way.. but you just have to do it!!
Last Friday I learned that one of my ex-staff (a 20 year old) was found dead that morning…
No one would say how he died, but my feeling was accidental overdose, or suicide by overdose (they said he was found asleep/dead on couch)
The funeral was right away, on Monday, Labor Day. So I would imagine a lot of people left town and never even got the chance to say goodbye.
I can say, when I saw his pictures at the funeral I was ANGRY! Yes, the anger surprised me, but I looked at him and thought "It didn’t have to be this way"
It also made me grateful for changing my life, because, to be honest, I was "that kid" the lonely, depressed teen, who drank too much, took too many pills, and hoped I would not wake up…
wow… what happened to that girl?? I don’t know, but I’m glad she is long gone…
I love waking up each day and working towards new goals and looking forward to so many things in life.. Its hard to see someone be so shortsighted, and never get a second chance like I did…
THEN… SPEAKING OF SECOND CHANCES>…
One of my most successful clients (who has lost 90lbs since Jan!!) texted me on Thursday… (I am also training her older sister who is at the same place she was in January)
SHe asked me if I trained Brenda that morning, I said No.. she then said she was in the ambulance on the way to the hospital thinking she was having a heart attack!!
Turns out she had 4 arteries that were 80-90% BLOCKED!!!
Not everyone gets a 2nd chance people!! The time to live healthy, eat healthy, exercise, and think healthy is NOW!!
Please don’t let it get so far!! I’ve been to enough funerals this year, I don’t want any more!!
Take care of yourselves Because no one else can!!
XOXO
