This basically means that I’m dizzy 24/7. I got sick last Thursday, went to the Doctor Friday, and my ears were still hurting Monday morning. I went to the ENT Monday morning and thought I had some kind of horrific inner ear infection. As it turns out, a viral or bacterial infection can cause the nerve by your inner ear to become inflamed. The nerve does not understand when my head is moving or not moving, so it does not know what to tell my brain, so I’m dizzy which is made worse by moving my head. The dizziness is also causing nausea, and I’m not thinking very clearly. This could last for two weeks, and I could have spells for 6 to 8 months. THIS SUCKS! I’m going to try to start working out next week if I can.

Working in the gym business means work is crazy right now! I also have to get the books closed for 2008, and W2’s and 1099’s out, taxes paid, the list goes on… and I’m also coaching my son’s basketball team. I’m trying to weight train when I can, and finding time to have food prepared so I’m not living off shakes and protein bars from the pro shop.

My foot slipped off the assist bar on the pull up machine, and I figured I would go for it, and I got up one time on my own! Go me! I want to be able to do 5 on my own by the end of January. I had a nice, heavy back workout and 20 minutes of intense cardio, I felt like I was going to toss my cookies when I was done. Today is leg day, I hope I have the same energy level as yesterday.

So, Saturday would be 27 weeks if I decide to do this. I have a lot of work to do. I’m only 10 pounds heavier than my picture, but I want to look better. I have time to put some more size on. So I’m going to get my diet straightened back out, and put on 5 pounds of muscle. I’m going to make the final decision in April when I’ll be at 12 weeks. I need to get my butt in the tanning bed so I can take some pics.

136! I had not weighed myself in forever, because it seemed like I couln’t get below 140. It’s a Christmas miracle! I got curious this morning, and stepped on the scale thinking it was going to be about 146 because of all of the crap I’ve eaten. I’m so happy!

Back, abs and cardio. I almost forgot what it was like.
My energy level is not quite back yet, but I pushed myself through it. My diet has been WAAAYYY off since Sunday. I had a hard time eating anything, so it was mostly chicken soup and peppermint m&m’s. (if I ever find the bastard that invented peppermint m&m’s I may kick him in the shins) I’m back on today, and hoping not to get too off tomorrow and Christmas. At least I have a key to the gym and can make up some workouts while it’s closed.

Strep throat with an ear infection! I feel like crap! I have not been able to train since last Thursday. I’m going to see how I feel this afternoon, I may be able to at least get some cardio in. I’m going to get up tomorrow morning and feel better, I know it! I have to take little monkey to his dad today, so that means sitting in the car for 4 hours. I should be ready to get up and move around after that.

So, I decided to squat with my feet out a few inches (shoulder width), and now my left hip is killing me. I need to go home and put some ice on it. It takes me like five minutes to climb up the stairs! I may have to skip my light leg workout this week. I’m taking today off anyway, my rest days are all messed up from my crazy schedule this month. I’ll be so glad when the holidays are over and school has stared back so we can be in our usual routine. My boss is leaving town for two weeks on Friday, which means twice as much work for me. I HATE being in charge of EVERYTHING!!! Mostly I hate things that break and employees that don’t show up for work.

45 minutes back and abs, 30 minutes elliptical. I love to work my back! I just wish I could stop using the damn machine and do big girl pullups. I guess it would be easier without 20 extra pounds. I really need to go downstairs and see what’s going on, I’m supposed to be working. Although it can’t be that busy, only the die hards work out this time of year.

It’s a good thing that I had planned to take yesterday off, because I woke up with both ears killing me. I feel better today, but I’m dizzy because my ears are still full of fluid. Am I skipping my workout today? Hell no! (If you hear a thud, it’s because I’ve lost my balacne while trying to lunge) Fridays are light leg day and cardio, hopefully that will help me sweat this crap out of my system. And then it’s off to another FUN holiday function! Milk and cookies with a bunch of 6 year olds. At least I don’t have to push food around on a plate to pretend I’m politely eating what’s being served tonight!
