Well, we are smack dab in the holiday season arent we? i guess most people are thinking oh god, please dont let my weight get out of hand again. I personally am thinking, ok jason, you got this, stay the course and you will be fine. Lucky for me, the people in my life that care about me are quick to point out less than optimal food choices if i get close to straying.
Well today is back and triceps. I love working the two together. My training partner is in China for three weeks, so Its up to me to stay motivated and hit the gym.
No one believes me that I am 300 pounds. they say I dont carry myself like a fat guy. I dont know what that means, but I guess the illusion of looking a little thinner than i actually am isnt a bad thing necessarily right?
Well, Just bored at work and typing away…. will write more soon

Howdy pardners LOL no i havent gone MIA, just been working like a mads dog and working out like a pissed off grizzlie. Time to still cut calories but allow myself those holiday splurges like a (small) piece of applie pie after thanksgiving, etc.
I am really thankful for everyone’s encouragement on this site. Its like a single minded family here you know? somepeople are a little too excited for my tastes, but I still love that we all share a common goal of building better bodies and living healthier lifestyles.
Ok now the gross part. I am considering a colon cleansing after the new year. I have been doing some research on the subject and i gotta tell you, with the amount of red meat i consume, I dont even want to think of what might be living down there.
Also, got a really cool compliment the other day from of a friend of mine on here. She was complimenting my arms and back and said couldnt wait to see me come summer time. You knwo who you are, and thank you, that felt great to hear. I cant wait to see me come summer either. You all know me as gymfreak, cant wait to display a picture of "Jason"
Well, unitl next week or so, keep training hard everyone. and happy holidays

Well yesterday was the almighty leg day. I have been training my uncle and am trying to get him to gain a little muscle. Time is working against him though. 50 yrs old, ectomorphic body, and suffers from hypoglycemia.
Last night we trained legs, did some squats, stiff legged deads, 100 yds of walking lunges, and supersetted leg extensions and leg curls.
Tonight is chest and biceps. I like to train them together instead of chest and tris so that when i get to bis, i am confident i did everything i coudlt o tax my chest and my biceps are fresh to be thrashed.
Making burger brocolli patties tonight for the rest of the week. I know it sounds gross but heres how i look at it. IF you have really wel chopped brocolli, and you mix it in with your ground turkey or buffalo, when it cooks in a patty its so much more convenient. Another thing to try is frozen blueberries or cherries. Full of antioxidants and the flavor doesnt change the meat too much

ok so lets see where i am this evening. I am friustrated because the girl i am seeing is going through a ton of family things and financial things, and me being the guy i am, want to try to be there for her but instead she pushes me away. i know, give her her space and thats what im doing, but lets be honest, it does hurt a little.
So what am i doing with all of this emotion? focus it on one thing, that 400 pound deadlift waiting for me in my back yard. going to do sets to failure until i cant go anymore. well first im going to do 4 sets of barbell rows, 4 sets of pulldowns, and some calves. then its all deads. hopefully ill get like 4 or five sets of at least 8 reps before the reps start dropping. im going to quit when i get to two consecutive sets of 2 reps or less.
Some people might call this overtraining and in essence it is. but its also a stimulant that i rarely ever use. so i am sure that it will help with my feelings of frustration and also will give me a soreness tomorrow to keep my mind off of her.

Well the holidays are coming around, people are starting to ask me when i am going to start making all of the holiday favorites. You know, all that fatty food, good drinks, cookies, etc. Well not this year.
I had a killer chest and biceps workout yesterday. I grabbed a barbell that weighed 75 pounds and did an i go you go set with my uncle. First set was 18 reps, then 15, then 14, then 12 then 10 then 6 then 4 finally i got one. thats had my biceps exploding through my skin. I also di something I havent tried before in that I did 4 sets of a chest exercise followed by 4 sets for bis then 4 sets for tris then 4 more sets for chest, 3 for bis three for tris, and finally 4 more sets for chest.
Totals: 3 exercises for chest, 4 sets each. 2 exercises each for bis and tris, 8 total sets.
I honestly dont feel like its overtraining in the sense that I dont get pumped from one set.
Well its saturday, deadlifts and lat work today. Everyone have a great day

Ok,. so i will admit it, i fell off the wagon about three months ago and havent rteally gotten back on, except for a few workouts or low carb days here and there. most of it has to do with finances, but even thats an excuse since i dont necessarily need to hit the weights as much as i do and i should probably just be running anyway LOL.
I normally dont like training with anyone, but training with my uncle was going great until he started working a different shift. It was motivating having someone both ask for help and give compliments on exercises where mirrors cant be used, i.e. shoulders, hams, back, etc.
I bought a jump rope today. I guess that if i am going to be hitting the heavy bag again and really getting my cardio going, a 15 minute intense jump rope session every day cant hurt, excpet on my knees, LOL.
Ok, on a good note, I am writing everything down again. This is the biggest key for me because it holds me accountable. Everyone i know asks to see it and i know they will say something if i am cheating on my diet.
Has anyone heard of Exekiel cereal? I cant seem to find it anywhere but I want to try it. I eat Ezekiel bread, but would love to find the cereal.
Well, until next time…

Well, this isnt the BEST recipe for us watchign our weight, but as a chet meal this isnt too bad. i take one small tortilla, some chicken strips, some reduced fat cheese, some chopped onion. and some drained black beans from a can. throw it all together to form a quesadilla and throw it on my george foreman. I think the cheese helps me keep my sanity.
Its Sunday. My Trojans finally won a decisive game this year. If anyone is a Notre dame fan, Sorry. I love football. I loved playing it, and it is the sport that led me into the weight room.
Well, not much to write today. Going to go running around the Rose bowl this afternoon after work. Its a 2.5 mile run i think. I will go around twice and then home for some chicken and broccoli.

Well, I think i have finally met my match. I can lift the back end of a small car, I can do the phone book rip, etc but this past week a small lock has kicked my ass. I work in a position that calls for me to cut locks off of doors and padlocks can be done in a snap. There is something called a disk lock or a cylinder lock and they usually take like 3-5 minutes. But there is this one that i cannot snap. I actually busted some blod vessels in my bis tris and upper chest trying to squeeze my bolt cutters around this freaking thing!
On other front, i hit the beach earlier this week, did another hike, loved it. I try to do my cardio during the week, but every now and then, i gotta add something that takes more skill than a treadmill or bike.
Diet is still pretty crappy lately. I just dont have the motivation to buy the right food and then prepare it. its the heat. i am so excited that its finally cooling down a little bit. Time to start grilling, and broiling chicken again.
Till next time

Wow , ok so some guy who isnt even on this site, doesnt have a bodyspace, doesnt have pictures, up etc, had the gall to tell me not to post my photos because im a lard ass. Like i dont know this? Whats funny though,is not a human being alive would have the balls to say that to me in person. Pictures are funny. they emphasize bad parts like my stomach but no one believes me when i tell them what i weigh since i carry the muscle i do. Anyway, if anyone who has the body of a pro bodybuilder has something to say, i will listen, other than that, feel free to criticize all you want, but dont be a chicken sh*T online because you cant be a real man in public.
Onto other things, i think that i am the opposite of most people. they p[ig out in the winter and diet for summer. I like to pig out in the summer since its too hot to cook , and its easier for me to diet in the winter. Now that its cooling down again, i am finally cooking healthy again, etc.
Well, until next time, keep lifting heavy

Wow, I cant believe I have actually written 100 of these things! I know, some other have written a lot more, but for me, to take my time and actually write these, its sort of a little accomplishment in itself.
Today was back and biceps. I normally dont train these two bodyparts together, usually preferring back with triceps, and biceps with my chest, but I have been training a little differently to help my uncle out as he tries to gain some solid muscle in his "silver" (50s) years.
We did some pulldowns to warm up, and he was saying he couldnt feel it in his back. I watched his form and he was gripping correctly, and pulling with his back and squeezing his shoulders together at the end, but then i watched him from the side. Anyone who has ever done pulldowns and not felt it in their back should know what came next. His elbows were behind his hands. I lowered the weight on the stack, told him to sit up straight, and to be conscious of keeping his elbows more forward than his wrists. BOOM! His lats swelled with blood as he moved the weight up and down.
Second exercise, Bent over Barbell rows. This was a little easier to make sure his back was working. I literally poured water in the small of his back and told him to let it pool there. Once he got the form down, it was just a matter of rowing up into his gut.
Next up were deadlifts, 4 sets of 8, and lastly 4 sets of heavy shrugs.
For biceps, we did 5 sets of barbell curls, 4 sets of dumbbell preachers, 4 sets of cable curls, and thats it the total workout
