Leg Day
Tuesday, May 8th, 2007I worked my legs today and decided to scrap my workout and shock the system. I warmed up thoroughly on my stationary bike and then headed for the rack. I love squatting. I almost always throw up later, but I love the feeling of hoisting that much weight from a vulnerable position. Anyway, to schock my system today, I decided to do "breathign squats". i read about these ni an article by Bob Kennedy. You basically choose a weight you can do for 6-8 reps, and then without re racking the weight, continue until you finish 20 reps. That would be one set. Its a little more stressed than a regular rest pause type of training. I did five working sets and couldnt walk to my car for about 20 minutes. I will do some hamstring work tonight instead of cardio as I am sure my oxygen consumption was definitely up this morning.
