hypnosis

Friday, August 1st, 2008

I have worked with Clients stuck in behavioral Traps for Years, I first got in to NLP and Hypnosis as part of exploring ways through the bad Paterns of behavior people i was working with got themselfs in too.

I didn’t make any efforts to connect or apply anything i lerned in to my fitness goals untill lately. Starting with a few excercises to boost my motivation a few months ago i saw that at least in my experience i was more focused at the gym and finding it easyer to get myself over there in the time windows i had.

about 3 weeks ago i started reading ‘Paul Mckenna-  i can make you thin’ i have avoided it because i din’t actualy want to be thin.

I don’t want to sound like one of the mugs who falls for any new idea and i am certainly not advers to effort but i have really found it helpful, i lost 10lb in the last 3 weeks after a year of staying the exact same weight despite ever increasing workout intencity and frequency.

I think that as disaplined as i had been previously with my nutrition and my training that i hadn’t been able to use my intuition about my own body. It might sound really dumb but i couldnt tell the diference between tired and need to rest and tried and need to push on through. with my my meals i knew everything i should be doing but was beraiting myself a lot for ‘going off the rails’. i associated relaxing with slacking and all kinds of unhelpful attitudes.

The Visualisation Techniques in the book ad CD have really helped me make a habit of something i was strugeling with Befor.

I am interested if anyone else has got anywhere using any kind of NLP, Hypnosis or visualisation tools. Its obviously not magic you can’t chainge your body sat around. I know how powerful it can be for weightloss and emotional eating i am really keen to know how it works out for anyone using  it to Bulk up.

How to not annoy my wife or yours

Friday, March 7th, 2008

Annoying my wife was one of the reasons i started training, used to have way to much energy left in the evenings and would drive her up the wall.
the last thing i want is that my goals and interests should add strain to us. heres just a few things i have learned the hard way.

tension = Time together: most of last year so long as i kept my training within the windows of her shifts and mine i was covered. now that the gym is busyer and i my shifts have chainged its not so easy.
balance= for now at least, really stricked planning and sticking to the few slots i have, Jogging to the gym and back cuts a little bit of time off of warm up and cool down and cracking out the dumbbells at home means if the gyms to busy i can finish off properly at home rather that wait around for ages.

tension = Vanity, as much as i try to keep in ballence there are times when my insecurities about my own body bleed out and give her the feelings i am not thriled with how she looks, which just isn’t how it works.
balance: healthiest thing to try so far is to have one small time slot with the mirror, just a couple of mints really where i am as harsh as i like and i can focus my self deprecation in a way that ultimately leads to a very positive chat with myself about how i am going to change things. this is just just in my mind and the rest of the time i don’t mention hating my belly, worrying that my pecs look like boobs. and i have found that by sticking it in a window for myself i actually don’t think it the rest of the day either.

tension = Fussy eating. for most meals we can eat the same thing and mine is the portion with bigger meat, but for those nights when wife or sisters or freinds are going for a blow out i dont mind not fitting in, just don’t like seming judgmental for trying to make healthyer choices.
Balance = by having 100% angus beef burgers, italian thin base pizzas and indulgent foods that i can afford to have now and then in the freezer it means i don’t have to go off the rails just cause she wants too.

tension = no energy left: as my dad once told me, nothing is important enough to miss sex for. He was talking about not having arguments, but i decided to apply it to everything. i Love to feel like i have really burned up everything i have left in a workout but it only took a few nights of lying in bed with the warmth of my wife next to me and hardly being able to move before i changed my plans.
Balance = ideally morning cardio gives me enough time to recover though the day. and better planing, as with everything else can’t try it standing the day after a killer legs workout i will spare you the details of the rest.

i am no relationship expert or training icon either but being a good husband is as much of a life long goal to me as being fit healthy and Big.

Stupidly anoying things that people in my life say

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Obviously i don’t pay to much heed to things other say but that doesnt seem to stop anyone offering there unsolisited ‘wisdom’.

What do you need to be strong for your not a fireman?

you don’t really want to get any bigger, it will all turn to fat when you have kids!

Its not possible to look like those guys in that magazine, they are obviously all on sterioids

your never going to look like —- or —-  they dont have jobs and they train all day every day

If its a six pack you want how come you don’t just do 500 sit ups a day, then you would have one (thats what usher does)

its not healthy to go to the gym so much why dont you just play football

you never listen to my advice, i did balet since i was 3 i know what i am talking about

when you have the body you want will you stop? No! then why bother?

If you look at yourself and want to chainge that proves you must be judging everyone else!

your so fussy about everything in your meals, then you go drink that protien shake, do  you know whats in it, i bet its full of fat!

if you want exercise you can take this bag to the bins for me,

maybe your one of those people who just does not have muscles

your probebly fat becuase you dont smoke and drink, look at rockstars, they arent fat and i bet they arent working out

if your to tired to go to the gym why dont you just not have dinner.

and on and on and on. Gosh its an effort not to answer back.
