Arm Day

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Now this is the day I look forward too and excitedly so.  I like my arms.  Not that they are huge yet but the perseverance to what they will look like keeps me motivated. Fatigue is great but I do not like the burn.  Oh well.. The eating is doing well.  After watching trixter747 cooking videos(I thought it was The Galloping Gourmet for a moment) I bought my products, cooked and packaged them.  My body is packaging them too. Maybe I just was not eating right before but I hit the scale(clothes on) for a peak and fell over when it read 223.  Holy smokes.  Am I a porker?  I need to get the tape measure out and see where all this is going.  I bet alot is water weight with the creatine and waxy maize.  And yes by the way, waxy maise is pretty much corn starch with the same bioavailability.  Lots of carb calories.  Although like any supplement water is the key additive when taking anything like this.  So I will avoid the heftly price tags of the supplements and get the basic Kroger’s corn starch from here on out.  Most of the people that had problems with intestinal blockages were those that were eating it right out of the box and had Pica.  They enjoyed gorging on this stuff.  Can you believe it?  But like any simple starch I am sure the enzymes in the saliva quickly broke some of it down and gave it a sweeter taste.  But still, yuk!

Yet another lesson learned….

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

So I am expecting my benching to suck pond water but for the love of God I started where I ended up before the hiatus.  Cool.  Good workout too.  I wonder if the waxy maize made a difference.  Any biochems out there?  I want to know, Why should I pay $22 for Waxy Maize when I can eat cornstarch.  SHOW me the biochemical difference! Back and shoulders are sore for sure.  I am expecting the chest to join in by the end of the day.  I think I also realized pull overs are for young guns not old gray backs(not yet-if you’re wondering.) The mood is better too.  Accomplishing things helps one feel better plus I wonder how much the limbic system punches in endorphins, growth hormone, etc.  They talk about everyone should laugh and sweat at least once a day.  I figured that is the growth hormone and endorphins.  The diet is good too and protein is coming up to scale. More fluid intake although I hate water to drink.  Things are and will keep progressing.  Bezrat Hashem.

Another lesson learned.

Mixing supplements can be detrimental to the palate.  Just imagine chocolate whey mixed with fruit punch.  Yeah, it tasted like someone put Grape cough medicine in my whey.  Yuk.  But, in the name of science I slugged it down.  I noticed something real peculiar that others had mentioned.  Whether it was perceptual set I am not sure.  But with the addition of the waxy maize I actually felt LESS full than without it.  It still had the same satiety value but I did not feel full. But I have taken Trixter747’s advice and will sip the Carb through the workout-fruit punch.  Unfortunately my area of living does not have the unflavored type.  OK.  Who can answer this question?  What is the difference between "corn starch"  and waxy maize?

The Jury is still out…and in disagreement

Steroids vs. supplements.  As far as benefits it was /is sort of like USC’s butchering of Virginia in the first game of the year.  I have to agree with trixter747 as far as biochem and thermodynamics is that supps will never be any way near as growth promoting as steroids.  I have a budget and that budget is pretty maxed out in waxymaize, dextrose, glutamine, creatine, whey protein grouping.  Time and diligence appear to be in order as usual.  Maybe guided imagery may add something to that as well.  If it can work for healing it should be able to work for mass gaining.

I tried those Gaspari test boosters and I must be a fem as they changed nothing after 8 weeks.  Growth patterns remained consistent, hair loss may have actually increased though. So I will just smile and lift, get my lean protein, cut the fat and say my prayers.

Today is back and shoulders. For some reason this workout makes me sweat even more than leg day.  I do not mind this one bit.  I heard someone say it is a good day if you sweat and laugh.  So here’s to ya!

Once and for all!

Jeans Please!!!

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Hey y’all!  I am asking that you send me photo links for my page.  I want pictures of Bodyspace girls in Jeans.  This classic is a safe motivator for me.  I have pictures from DeborahAnn and Amy Kessler and more would be appreciated.  If you want an idea of the pics I am looking for look in my photos at Amy and Debi.

Other than that my arms feel like they have been harpooned.  Recovery is lots of protein, vitamins and gensing.  Any other ideas?  Today is legs so I will be wobbling out of the gym this afternoon. But hey what is a workout without work.

Ouch

That is my ego talking and arms aching.  After the 1.5 month lay off I jumped back in the saddle.  Unfortunately I took about a 15% hit in the strength reduction but "The saddle" felt good, even when I got off.  Like perfect shoes.  The fit was great but the soreness returned quickly.  I warmed up well and I progressed rapidly through the set. So, motrin today and cardio/fat burning. To those of you that have commented with encouraging words thanks.  For those with "stimulating pictures" thank you VERY much.  I am after all a guy and very visual. Special thanks to Trixter, Geminijedi, Debi and Jacked in Mi for continued support and encouragement.  I feel physically overall better and alot happier than I did when I was not lifting.  That should be motivation in and of itself.  I fell into a pity sort of I can’t get big.  I was trying to be of the world and not in it.  I need to just shut up and lift and see where that takes me.  Added health, that’s just one benefit. I will be lifting from now on, the sport won’t be lifting me…

No, I am NOT dead

Yes, the gym is calling.  I needed time to heal after an injury, more mental and spiritual than physical.  But now I am ready to climb back into the saddle.  Fortunately there has not been too much down time.  I am trying to not identify with the bodybuilding as a person which has led me to failure but just doing it and allowing it to progress naturally.  I wanted too much too fast.  Other personal problems really sapped my will power but I have come out of the clouds now after scrapping the mountain.  mANY LESSONS LEARNED.

KDP on the otherhand is doing well and disciplined.  Quite focused.  Benches 325.  6′6" 285 lbs star tackle for his team.  Many college prospects.  He just needs to decide which college.  You all would be proud of him.  Lifts and does not look like the lard asses on the feild.  If they do try to fatten him up I am sure he will hit the 325-350 treshold-he has no gut right now!

More later.
