Rechecking your ego at the door
Well, humbling is a nice thing to call diisappointed as sh..! In order to form a more perfect (bodily) union I switched to Dr. Hussman’s style of lifting instead of the 5×5 for a 12 week cycle. Talk about muscle confusion they must think they are now 16 years old! Doing 2 seconds up, hold and squeeze 2 seconds and then down 4 seconds with 90 second rest in between was great and horrible. I cut the poundage in half, did 4×10 sets and commenced to burning and crying and utter fatigue. For all of you who like the burn try it ought-come getcha some! I usually get sore in 48 hours. Here a mere 12 hours later I am in quite defined soreness. It shows I did major micro tear damage to the myofibrils. So push the protein, rest and supplements to repair. Trixter would like this style if he isn’t doing it already although he might have GemeniJedi do this style for sheer torture…Sorry Court. Anyway, I will have fun with this until Christmas. Oh joy……

Heh heh… Funny you should mention that… Just started a new workout this week that is implementing that sort of method. Specifically, the calf workout we’re doing is the roughest! I’m a definite advocate for the prolonged tension time. I’ll have to get you some info on the last couple things I’ve done with the longer tension time. I’m not familiar with Dr. Hussman though, so I’ll have to look into that…
