Pooch Belly
Genetics have given me a problem. I either have to starve myself with fruits, veggies and protein shakes only or have an open reduction of this fat pack that sits on my six pack. Training made the muscles under it strong but the fat above it is recalcitrant. I am lucky if I can pinch 1/4" on my hips which rate about a 9% bodyfat but if I add my scapular and tricep measurements it pops up to about 15%. The triceps have almost nothing to pinch with the calipers the back has more. Weird proportions. So I have cut way back only anything sweet, little to nothing refined and added 30 minutes of cardio 4 times a week. Hopefully that will push me through the envelope. The Ham tear from 3 weeks ago ios healing fine as long as I rehab slowly and do not push it. The elbow is a constant drone of pain but low level and the RICE treatments keep it at bay. I just have to quit squeezing the bars so hard like it will actually help me get the weight any higher. Oh well, the trials and tribulations of weight lifting….
