Lift for you. Like alcoholics who quit for someone else you will quit lifting too. Lift like there is no tomorrow because there isn’t. There is only right now. Don’t wait for anyone or anything. Become a rebel and join the cause to get the rest of the sorry asses off their asses and get moving. Anything is better than nothing.
Today-shrugs, shoulders, lats—oh my!

Need more sleep to complete my training. I started taking the creatine again today. I hope to avoid the associated nausea. Lift day-Tris, calves, deadlift, etc…(which means I forgot the rest without my workout journal handy.) Holiday stress too from the ex who wants more money. You would think $1800 for three kids would be enough when you’re almost bankrupt and in debt. Helps with the weight lifting when you add piss to your workout!

To cut…
Well, I have received my Captains of Crush grippers. It will be nice to develop the forearms more for the deadlifts which my legs tolerate just fine but I "cannot get a grip" for too lond a period. So be it and I will attack the forearms. Worked out hard yesterday and today will be cardio. I feel Talledega Nights and a massage coming on…

Even though it’s Christmas the training must go on. Cardio 30 minutes. Squats, leg raises, conc. curls and wide grip curls. I learned by accident I could do my lat work like a row by using the preacher curl attachment with out the arm rest. Anyone else do this or did I just discover fire while everyone else was using a flame thrower. Ha Ha. Well off to cook and prepare for the kids arrival for Christmas cheer and present opening. Merry Christmas to all.

What are we going to learn today? From experience do we learn the best whether it is doing something first then reading or reading then doing? But, it is the aftermath of the event that is the teacher. Bodybuilding is like that. I have a deep ache in the right radius insertion point. Like bone pain or ache/nerve pain. Aleve did not get rid of it. Lifting did not make it worse. The lifts were bent over rows, shoulders and shrugs. Rest day today except cardio and forearms. Hopefully Captains of Crush for Forearms from Santa. Diet is a battle. Rx.-more cardio!

Well the leg program has kicked into high gear. unfortunately the floor to weight ratio will come into play. Genetics has given me powerful legs so I have to use really high reps or slow the reps way down. Too bad it could not have given me 12% bodyfat by nature.
So, Lat work today. I need to switch over to single are rows and really test my lats. I haven’t reached any limit yet. The shoulders continue at the same pace plush the shrugs need to be pushed harder…

I have become disenchanted with the women who say they lift or are into fitness, etc but whose pictures appear to be inconsistent with their words. I must choose to lift for me and only me for health and well being. E-friends just don’t stack up sometimes for wanting contact. I guess I lied to myself and thought there would be depth of thought. I have noticed the men an a few hearty women are true to the sport. Thus I am limiting my exposure to those who are not what I had supposed them to be. So here’s to the friends who write and exchange information about bodybuilding. Purists to the end…

Where do you quit thinking and just live and lift. How is it possible to gain complete awareness for what you are doing? Pain? Effort? Results? Too hard to tell. The mental aspect of training is daunting as well as life in general. I think I lift and train as a physical manifestation to change the mental aspect of life. Move a mountain or remove troubles from my path. WHich is it or both. The only thing I can do is to wage the war on both fronts-the mental and the physical. After all the mind moves the physical. "What is the hand without the mind to move it?"-James Earl Jones in Conan The Barbarian. Only awareness is pristine. Lift with complete totality of thought, awareness and attention. My weight bench is my lab….
