I see your point to a degree. HOwever, the only reason I think the changes are being made is to put their ass's, boobs and grotches back into the spot light. You sheldom ever see face picks or better yet POSES...

The thing that gets me, is it is usually the exact same ones.....

Take a look at the top ten in ANY catagory. It is essentially the same ones who are constantly changing their pix.

The member gallery of BB dot com looks more like Adult Friend Finder or some dathing web-site....

I tend to agree with you. I know you show up in the "new profile photo" category even if you just "change" your main profile photo. I don't understand how you get in the "new progress photo" category when you don't post a new photo in your progress photo file.

As far as insecurity goes, I'm sure there is some of the involved, but I KNOW some of us have a huge desire to receive positive recognition of our progress and motivation to continue. Sometimes that support does not come from those closest to us because those individuals don't understand what drives a bodybuilder or that we are just vain and put too much emphasis on the physical. We are no different from other people, this is just what we have chosen to excel at.

Just my perspective! -Ray

I attended my first BB comp this weekend to see how the pre-judging and night shows were run. I am totally stoked about my first contest.
I was also able to talk to BB's at the competition and received some excellent advice, They were several who were more than willing to share their knowledge and experience.
The one thing I took from it was, I have decided to actually drop down to 164 and compete in the LW Novice class in my first event. There were several my height/weight who had dropped to even less....

I am now 6 weeks into my cutting phase getting ready for my first ever BB competition. I'll be competing in the master’s class of the SNBF show in Marietta, Ga Oct 6th. I am very much stoked about being there too.
I've dropped approx 14lbs over the last 6 weeks, and have maybe 5-7lbs to go. I am leaning out very well and maintaining my muscle. I started at about 191lbs, now down to 177lbs. My contest weight may be around 170-172lbs. We'll see.
I've taken very specific interest in BB for the over 40 age group. I'll be updating my blog weekly up until contest time. Please feel free to jump in and add any comment or suggestion you may have.

Bodybuilding over 40, or as a person gets older in general at times requires a different approach. Although a persons matabolism remains the same, the body does go through a natural aging process. This blog will hopefully share ideas, theories and research to help promote BB over 40. Any and all comments are welcome.
