Ready to Get Back

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

I haven’t been to the gym all week, have been eating like crap, and haven’t been on BodySpace in a long time (until recently).  I have put on a few pounds, but nothing that can’t be lost in a short amount of time.  Regardless, I don’t like feeling as if my body is suffering from not working out.  I am ready to get back in the gym, train harder than ever, and eat like I should be eating.  As always, the people, pictures, profiles, and comments here on BodySpace never cease to inspire and amaze me.  BodySpace is one of the greatest communities ever.  Now is the time, and I am ready to make the most of it.  It’s time to crank some weight.

Just don’t get it….

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

This post is just a rant, and it might seem a little harsh, so I do apologize (I also don’t mean to sound cocky or arrogant, so please don’t take it that way).  I just don’t get it - I am currently a reservist on active duty for training/school, and it seems like all my classmates (as well as the students in other classes) are interested in is going out and getting trashed throughout the week/weekend.  Many of them grumble about having to do physical training, and it seems like many of them complain about anything and everything.  I guess my point is that I try not to complain - I freaking do my job and I take it seriously.  Sure, I am a reservist, but my uniform is always squared away, I stand up straight, I take pride in what I do, and I work hard in class.  I take my uniform, my job, my life, and my health seriously.  When it comes to training, all I can say is bring on the PT.  If I puke, I puke.  If I pass out, then I know I need more conditioning.  Put me under the weight, and I’ll freaking lift it to the best of my ability.  At the end of the day, I will be stronger, I will be bigger, and I will be able to take on more challenges.  I am proud to serve my country, even if it is part time.  I am proud to wear a uniform that looks damn good.  I am proud that I grew up with manners and respect.  I am proud of my health, on which I continually want to improve.  DONE.

Very motivational…..

Friday, November 21st, 2008

One of the reasons I enjoy my gym so much is because most everyone checks their ego at the door, everyone is friendly, and everyone truly seems to be interested in their health.  Every so often during my workouts, I see a blind man working out.  He always abides by his routine, takes time with his workouts, and I can tell he takes it seriously.  To me, that is true motivation.  It does me good to see people overcome any disability to improve their health.  In my opinion, those folks are some of the most kick ass people out there.

Finished Boot Camp

Saturday, August 2nd, 2008

I graduated from Coast Guard basic training on July 11th, and I lost 15 pounds.  I have never felt or looked better, and I am kicking some butt in the gym!  My inspiration, self-esteem, and confidence has shot through the roof!

Great Workout

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

So I’m in Tallahassee for the weekend and I had the chance to work out at my alma mater’s gym - the place where bodybuilding began for me.  Needless to say, I was very excited about getting back to my old stomping grounds - I was ready to crank out some weight!  I had taken a bit of NO Xplode, so that combined with my excitement was helping me to really press out some pounds.  It was a great workout - one of the best I have had in a while.  It’s amazing what a change of scenery can do to one’s mentality and motivation!

Couldn’t Be Happier!

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

It’s a beautiful day outside, I just got back from the gym, and I had a great midsection/core workout.  I feel fantastic!  I hope there are many others feeling as great as I do right now.

Nice to See Results

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

It’s nice to see results!  Back in March, I was around 200 lbs., and now I’m down to 182.  I feel healthier, my energy has boosted, and I look forward to training as hard as I can.  I no longer get out of breath easily, and I feel like I can now accomplish more and greater things.  I hope this can motivate someone, and I am seriously thankful for all the motivation I’ve received from bodybuilding.com and it’s members!

Counting Down

Saturday, September 1st, 2007

I’ve got just under two weeks before weighing in for the coast guard.  I’ve cut out weight training just until I weigh in, and I have upped my cardio and I can see the fat coming off.  Now I’m worried about hitting a plateau. I am seeing strides and gains, but I worry about falling into a slump and not knowing what else to do.

Extreme Measures

Thursday, August 16th, 2007

Alright, I’ve got four weeks to lose about 14 pounds or else the Coast Guard reserves won’t take me.  I will definitely have to up the cardio in and out of the gym.  It’s time to hit it hard!  Maybe I should try some fat burning supplements?
