May 31ST DEADLINE!

Alright its May 31st, and today is the deadline for my 175 mark. I’m not there……But I’m stilll amazed and happy at where I am, and how i’ve progressed. I’m at 182, so its only a mesely 7 pounds, I could pee that, lol. new goal is for July 1st to be at 175, no prob! When I started this journey feb 24, i had alot going on, i was juggling work, working out, and studying for my MCAT test (which was may 27th, i think i did pretty good), So not for a second am I dissapoint with anything. Stay tuned folks, I’m not done!

After week 10

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

Ok week ten ended crappy, friday my co-workers and I went to lunch at olive garden, although I didn’t eat too bad (had garden salad, 4 stuffed mushrooms, 3 toasted ravioli, and aboutu 7 pcs of calamari) then i gave the rest to my co-workers bc 1. I was full, and 2. i didn’t want to take it home to eat later. My co-workers know i’m trying to get in shape and lose weight, but this is all i heard " OMG you didn’t eat anything, who eats just a salad, You’re too hard on yourself"….and they’re saying this as they eat the 5 cheese stuffed rigatoni with sausage, which in my head sounds like "5 different full fat cheeses stuffed in a pocket of insulin spiking carbs, with trans fat infested processed sausage" you try thinking that in your head, Betcha wouldn’t eat it, lol. But anywho, That night we watched the game, and this is where I ate 4 pcs of a small personal pizza, and had a drink. Then sat, my friend got married, so of course the repception had finger food, and cake….then after the wedding we all went to fridays where i indulged in 2 fish tacos ( didn’t eat the tortillas) and a nasty Mojito. I don’t feel overly bloated or disgusted today which is good, but I’ll weigh in next week to be on the safe side, i took measurements, ya girl is still shrinking!! WOOhOO. Ok so since i didn’t weigh in this week my goal for next week in 181, which from my last weigh in I was 185, that would be 4 lbs in two weeks, i can do it.

Alright so gotta tighten up, My deadline of May 31st 175 is right around the corner, no more cheating, no cheat meals, no drinking NOTHING!! GO HARD Or GO HOME!! 10 lbs to go, 27 days!

 

OH YEA FYI: I ASKED ONE OF MY TRAINER FRIENDS AT THE GYM, WHEN USING THE HANDHELF FAT ANALYZER, SHOULD I USE TO NORMAL SETTING OR THE ATHLETE SETTING. HE SAID I SHOULD USE ATHLETE SETTING, BECAUSE I’M NOT NEW TO WORKING OUT OR SEDETARY. SO NEXT WEEK WHEN YOU NOTICE THE DRASTIC CHANGE IN BODYFAT %, I’M USING TO ATHLETE SETTING FROM NOW ON. I THINK LAST WEEK IT WAS 26% ON NORMAL MODE BUT ATHLETE MODE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN 24.7

AFTER WEEK 9

185lbs, I met my goal weight for this week, and definately on track to my goal range. I have 5 weeks before may 31st to reach my goal of 170-175lbs, I CAN DO IT!!! My diet has been the same as the last two weeks, still taking my cheat meals, but I think i’m going to cut them out for the next 5 weeks, or atleast not every week, maybe every other week. My weight is dropping ,but i’m not quite sure where the weight is coming from (i.e legs, butt, thighs, abs) a little confuse bc to me when i look at the update pics, i look the same. I guess they always say the person can’t tell the subtle changes on themselves but others can. Hmmmm, i don’t know about that one. As i sit here eating my oatmeal and turkey patties, I wonder to myself, "WHAT IF I DO REACH MY GOAL…..THEN WHAT DO I DO" i say this bc i never been to a point where i stopped trying to lose weight bc i reached my goal, i never been at my goal weight, and i’m so close i can taste it. But say i do get there, do i still eat strictly? do i still work out 6-7 days/week? can i not have a cocktail or two with friends, or carbs at night……I’m afraid just thinking about it. I’ll cross that bridge "WHEN" not if but "WHEN" I get there!!!

Goal for next weigh in……. 2lbs

AFter week 8

Ok so week 8 was the the second week of eating only oatmeal and brown rice as my carbs and eating carbs usually around1pm (lunch) but no later than 3pm ( if i eat an apple bc i’m going to the gym to burn it off) I must say this no carb at night after the gym is working magic baby!!! I’m down 3lbs this week, and i feel so much leaner and tighter. Here’s a sample of my day of eating is like.

Tuesday 4/15/08

Breakfast- 1/2c oatmeal made with 1c water, 1tbsp of Natural Peanut butter, splenda,

                 2 slices turkey bacon

 

Meal 2- 1/2 pure protein bar (this only has 2 g sugar per bar)

Meal 3- 1/2 protein bar

Meal 4- 1cup brown rice (cooked), 4-5 oz ground chicken with taco seasoning, diced tomato, sprinkle cheese(1/8c), fat free sour cream (i rarely eat sour cream, i’m lactose intolerant)

meal 5- ( 30- 1 hour before gym) 1 apple, grande iced coffee with splenda (energy)

Cardio- 5:30pm

warm-up 5 mins 3.0, then i do intervals, increasing every min…. start at 5.5/5.7/5.9/6.1/6.3/6.5/6.7/6.9…..then back down to a walk, by the time i get to 6.5 i’m dying.lol I do that a few times, usually at intervals of 5 for the next, instead of 8. I go till a little over 2 miles of after 30 + mins.

Meal 6

chicken breast (boneless, skinless)

1c green beans

water

Thats just one day, usually lunch is brown rice with some type of protein, ground chicken, or chicken breast or canned salmon cooked with one egg (my version of chicken friend rice).

I passed my goal for this week by hitting 188lbs, goal for next weigh in is 186lbs. On to week 9!!! 13 lbs to go

After week 7

Ok so two weeks ago when i weighed in on saturday, i weighed 195.5 , almost my whole orignal amount, i was devastated, so i didn’t post that weight. Now i’m currently at 191, 5.5 lbs lighter than i started, weird how your weight flutuates like that. then again, a couple days before that weigh in i ate sushi and pizza , TERRIBLE, i expected it i guess. Anywho, Week 7 i decided to mix it up a bit, The only carbs I ate this week were oldfashion oatmeal, brown rice, i ate a apple once or twice and cantelope once, but the rest came from veggies such as broccoli,and all those veggies that come in the stir-fry packs. Also I only ate those complex carbs in the morning and for lunch, then i workout at night so after I only ate protein and veggies. Thank goodness for the 0.5 lost. I"m going to keep this routine going for a few weeks and see what happens, my goal for the next weigh in is 189. Oh yea, also I added in HIIT this week again, 2 sessions.

Over did cheat day

Ok so saturday was my cheat day, breakfast i had 1 cup of golean and turkey sausage. then for lunch/dinner, i went to pappadeaux seafood and we split a pappadeaux platter (whole plate of fried foods: shrimp, crawfish,oyster,scallops) along with french fries and fried alligator, followed with two strong frozen drinks. BAD IDEA, I felt sooooo sick for the rest of the day, i felt as if i was gonna puke, and i was on the toilet, the whole nine, never a gain am i going to abuse cheat day, not worth the stomach cramps. But sunday i got my butt in the gym and sweated everything out… On to week 4!

Done with week 3

Ok completed week 3 and only 1lb weight lost, but 0.8% bodyfat lost! Can’t beat that, its not always about the scale. I’m still focused and eating healthy Sun-thru Fri, protein shakes, salads, veggies, the whole nine! AND GOING TO THE GYM!!!But today is the day for a cheat meal!! yay! I’m down 6 pounds from 3 weeks ago, so its good i’m keeping a 2lb weight loss/week, May 31st revealing here I come.

End of week 2

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

Ok its been two weeks of eating clean/ training, and i’ve lost 5 lbs!!!! woohooo, even with this week i only worked out 2-3 times, (work and class) but I ate clean and still lost 1.5lbs. Its so true……..80% of losing weight is with diet. Week 3 i’m going to turn up the training, trying to lift weights 5 days and cardio 3-5 days. I’m going to give the hugo rivera training plan a try. I lift weights at the most 2-3 days. I always used cardio for weight loss, but now i will use weight training as the primary and cardio as an additional fat burn. Im keeping my food log current and really I haven’t had ANY cravings, if anything Lipo-6x really helps with cravings. Before, when training and dieting, I would have all types of sweet cravings at night, EVERY night. But with lipo-6x I feel satiety. On to week 3!!!! goal 1-2 lbs.

back On my grizzle

After slacking off through the holidays, my weight crept up to 197. So on 2/24/08 I began my grind again. and after 1 week of eating clean taking lipo-6x, and working out 5 days (3 weight/ days, 2 cardio) i lost 3.5 lbs, good start. on to week 2!!!!! Lipo-6x gives me alot of energy, its noticeable.

I’ve been MIA!

Hey everyone, thanks for the support!! I know i’ve been MIA I kinda fell off for a week, I sprained my ankle playing ball so I was on crutches for a few days, and I ate like crap which didn’t help!! anywho, I forced my butt up and limp to the gym and rode the bike and did upper body weight lifting, its not the same as running and i need lower body to boost the metabolism but i gotta make do till I better, can’t even wear the stilletos….darn it!
