Comment on What is Inspiration? by MrMontana98

Inspiration comes from everything experience that touches my life. A stranger who was polite in line at a convenience store has as much impact on me as watching a Russian pole vaulter who continues to break her own world record over and over again. The reasoning is simple but really important. Neither happens because of complacency. It takes a desire to be better than you are to continually improve and to become the best you can be. Politeness doesn't occur naturally, and neither do world records. I concur that the multitude of people on Body Space who strive to be their best and never stop moving forward are not only inspirational but also an example how most people should strive to be in all aspects of their lives. I am impressed by the amazing weight losses of a hundred pounds of more, 70 year old fitness champions, mothers of 6, cancer survivors, over 40 looking the better then their 20 year old selves, teenagers building a foundation that will last them a lifetime, and anyone who is a pound lighter or who can bench 10 more than last year. Of course we all have set backs at times, but I love to see someone gain an extra twenty and start to work it right back down again.
I am motivated by every person who wants to be a better them then they were yesterday!

I have come to realize that we often polish the outside of our cup and never clean the inside. We tend to be a bit imbalanced by focusing on our exterior strenghts and beauty and often never focus on our inner strenght and beauty.

We suffer from a collective illusion that we are somehow lacking and must FILL ourselves up with external materials and relationships to be COMPLETE. Often never to realize the power grace and wisdom inside of ourselves. Suffering comes from the attachment to things outside of ourselves. It is ironic that the more you let things go the more you actually feel complete.

I am pretty close to this, i incorporate fruits and vegetables in my diet all the time. I try to stay away from any processed foods. I replace the pasta and breads with more protein. I do understand what you are saying. I guess I just didn't track it to that extent.
