March is here already

So here it is March the first and I’m still up reading bodybuilding articles.  So now that we are in the month of my competition I can give an exact count of my next comp. Since my next comp for the NGA is March 28th that puts me at 4 weeks out. Next Sunday I’m gonna take progress pictures and give my stats.

I’m also gonna do something that I’ve been wanting to do ever since I started working on my legs for this next competition. I’m going to visit a local morgue to view the body of a black female who’s close to my height and carries fat in her lower body. I know what I just typed sounds shocking but I need to see just how fat is deposited in that area. The more I look at my own legs the more confused I am about the amount of fat that is in there. Most of you don’t know this but I use to be a police officer for 5 years here in my city. Actually, I’m still certified  but just not employed as a police officer and have no intentions of going back to that profession. BLAH!!!!  I still have major connections in my city and one being the Morgue at Southern Regional Hospital. Back in January I called a friend of mine who works there and told him that I wanted to see the inner muscles and fat within the thighs of a tall black female who’s bottom heavy. He told me that when one comes through he’ll give me a call. Well, I got the call yesterday and I’ll be heading up there today (Sunday) to view the dissection of her legs.

Want to know the crazy part of all this? MY BIRTHDAY IS TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup! I’m going to view a dissected body at the morgue on Sunday and celebrate my birthday on Monday. How crazy is that?  Exactly, sounds like I need a straight jacket and a padded room for a birthday present. LOL!!!!
When I come back from the morgue I’ll be sureto spear you guys the details. This is something that has my mind boggled with confusion when it comes to the female anatomy.  The only way I can get a better understanding is by viewing the fat and muscle under the skin personally.

Today was a great day in the gym. My body is really coming along and I’m proud of my dedication to this cut so far. Unlike last year, I’m practicing my mandatory posing moves everyday after cardio.  I’m also polishing up on my posing routine. I keep making chances to it but I’ll set it in stone by the end of the week. At the NGAs, our posing routine is 90 seconds unlike the SNBF which is 60. Speaking of SNBF, I see myself getting my Pro Card in that competition this year. As long as I keep bringing my legs in and nail my conditioning I will be at my BEST!

OK I think that’s enough for me. I’m gonna lay down and hope that I can drift off to sleep. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

All Paid up!

So I finally paid for my competition and my NGA comp card. The only thing that isn’t paid is the $30 for the polygraph test. That’s not paid because the guy who does it wants in the day of the testing. Competing in natural shows cost more than competing in "untested" shows. This show coming up March the 28th cost $100 to register, $35 for the NGA Card and $30 for the polygraph test. So that’s a total of $165 where last year when I competed in the NPC bodybuilding show back in April it was $80 for the NPC card and just $50 to register. That’s just $130 but if I wanted to continue competing in other NPC shows it would be just $50 while the SNBF and the other natural comps will charge $80 or more and this doesn’t include the urine test or the polygraph.

Well I’m all paid up so now I just have to stay dedicated to my workout and eating. Probably in the middle of March I’ll pay for my NPC card for my first figure competition on April the 18th. Speaking of figure, I’ll be taking pictures of me wearing my figure suit (due to popular demand) this Sunday. Now ya’ll don’t hold me to it because you know how wishy washy I get when it comes to taking pics. But I’ll do my best to take pics in it so ya’ll can see my booty profile! LOL!!!!!!

Ok, that’s it from me. I’m gonna go play in the IFBB section now.

All is well with my suit

After I blogged about my SURPRISED suit fitting I’ve been too busy to put it back on again. So today I had some extra time and decided to put on the bottom again now that I’ve been awake for several hours and in my right mind. I still haven’t taken pictures yet because I’m so cold and don’t feel like going the "cold room" to get my camera and tripod. Tomorrow suppose to be warmer but we’ll see what happens.

Anywho, the back bottom part of my suit isn’t bad as I thought. As a matter of fact I’m glad I got it this cut. All I had to do was stretch that back part out and all was well. Not only that but I like how it reminds me that I haven’t lost all my ass and that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. :)

OK, can’t talk much now. Today is leg day so I have to my butt in gear and head to the gym.

Ok so let me start from the beginning before getting to the good part.

Today is the day I have my cheat meal. All of my cheat meals are breakfast foods that I eat as a second meal. Today I had a massage client this morning (7AM) which started my day pretty early so I had my cheat meal really early this morning because after that client I did my cardio and had my cheat meal right after that. My cheat meal was a huge stack of stone ground whole wheat and oatmeal pancakes. OMG! THOSE THING WERE SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!

Anywho, after I devoured those pancakes I fell asleep reading a muscle magazine (which is typical). I was in a deep sleep for two hours when I heard a banging at my front door. It scared me at first but when I looked through the peep hole I saw the mail man standing there. Still in a daze I opened the door and signed some package he put in my hand. Now mind you, I’m still half asleep at this moment. I open up the package and inside was my figure suit. MY FIRST FIGURE SUIT! "Wow, that was fast. I wasn’t expecting this so early" I said to myself. So I opened it up, took off my clothes and tried it on.

OK now here’s where it gets comical.

I put the top on and that fit perfectly. Still groggy I slipped on the bottom and the entire back part of my bikini bottom went straight up my ass like a thong.  Now I’m awake! I pulled the bikini out of my butt and turned around to see what was going on back there and all I saw was my big round ass! LOL!!!!!! "Dammit! I should have listen to Kassandra" (MakingAChange).

Ok here’s some info on my suit. Last year when I ordered my bikini bottom from BB.com I got the                  Brazilian cut style. But that’s when my butt was bigger than it is now. So I PMed Kassandra and asked her what size bottom she got from Lidia and she said she got the Brazilian medium rise for extra coverage. Since I was under the illusion that having an ass measuring 37 or 36 inches is like having a small ass I thought I’ll get the size smaller than Brazilian which is the “Rio Low Rise“. In my mind a woman my height who has anything under 39 inches in the “ass department” is considered a woman with “noassatall” which means no-ass-at-all. But this suit reminded me that I indeed have PLENTY OF ASS LEFT! So immediately I realized that I f*cked up and said “Dammit, now I have to send the bottom part back and get it made in another bottom style” But then I did something that made a huge difference. I stretched out the back. When I did that it got wider and stayed put without going up my booty. So I kept stretching it and stretching it and finally it covered my butt to a decent level.

So I stared at myself for several minutes.  The front LOOKS AWESOME! I have it in a low V shape for the front which looks HOT! But when I turned around my ass is like BAMB! IN YO FACE!

So I took off the suit and prepared myself for the gym (I was running late due to the extra time in the mirror). On the way there I thought about the entire situation. I realized that there’s is no need to panic now because I’m still losing weight in my legs and glutes.  The fat is still melting off (slowly but surely) so keep the suit the way it is because it will motivate me to focus more on my butt now that my legs are coming in. I also realized that if all else fails I can get some two sided tape come competition day to keep that sucker in place. All and all it’s not a hopeless situation.

It’s amazing the way I think about my body. Right now my ass is 36 inches. Now a white woman my height with a 36 ass would swear she had a really big butt. However, as a black woman with a 36 ass I think I’m one diet pill away from having an iron board butt. The shocking part is that it will get even smaller than this. I’m predicting that my booty will be 35 inches come comp day. Maybe 34 if I keep at this high level of cardio. Pftt! My butt hasn’t been that size since I was in the 4th grade!!!! THE FOURTH GRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I’m gonna take pictures (front and back) and upload them to my computer so that I can REALLY see what I look like. If I think that back bottom is too small on my booty then I’ll just have to swallow the cost to get it remade but if not then I’ll make it work.

This is all a learning experience but I’ll tell you one thing. That’s one hell of a way to wake up from a nap!

Ok so I miscounted my weeks out again just like last year. My next comp is March 28 so I’m waaaaay ahead of the game but I’ll keep pretending I’m 7 weeks out just to humor myself.

  • Weight - 163lbs (Lost only 7 lbs)

  • Upper Thigh Left - 21 1/2

This Month’s Stats

  • Weight - 158lbs (Lost only 5 lbs)

So this time I only lost 5 pounds but I’m not tripping because my muscles are harder this year than last year. The inches are still coming down and even though my lower bodyfat is the most stubborn part to go it seems that it’s leaving slowly but surely. My right leg finally balanced out with my left due to the fat lost there. You wanna know what’s so wild about these stats? These are the same stats I had when I was one week out from my first competition last year. LOL!!!!!! The only difference is my legs were bigger (due to the fat layers) and my booty was 38 inches instead of 37 but everything else was the same. AMAZING!

I’m only flexing my right leg but I’m practicing on flexing both at the same time (it’s not easy as I thought it would be). I’m pretty proud of this progress with my legs. The more fat I lose in this area the more my muscles show.  I think I’m gonna add 30 more minutes to my cardio regimen to speed this up even more. Now that I am seeing a chiropractor and my shoulders are back to normal it’s time to concentrate on capping my delts. They have gone down in size due to moderate lifting for over a year.

My lats have gotten a little wider. I am working on getting them to spread out even farther to give my body that V taper look.

Even though I’m losing inches of fat in my butt I must keep in mind that I’ll replace that fat with muscle in due time. So during off season I’m gonna concentrate on  bringing in my hams and glutes.

My Critiquing

Now that it’s February I’m gonna step it up a notch. I’m going to do 2 hours and 30 minutes of cardio a day instead of just 2 hours. The fat in my lower body is really stubborn and it’s time to kick it up a notch so that I can be at least 6% bodyfat come comp time.

The body parts I need to work on after my first two comps are my Delts, Hams, Inner thighs, glutes and lats.  There’s nothing I can do about it now because I can’t gain muscle while cutting but when I’m in offseason I can pound away at these imperfections and make some improvements.
