 Controlled Labs Search for CALENDAR GIRLS!!

Ok ladies! You’ve trained long and hard to get those bodies smokin hot and we at Controlled Labs think it’s time you showed it off. We are putting together a calendar and need 15 models. These calendars will be sold exclusively on Bodybuilding.com and all proceeds will go to The Jayden Deluca Foundation, a charity dedicated to researching heart ailments in newborns.

Entries must include:
1.) 5 different photos (different poses) sporting the Controlled Labs colors.
(White, Black, Blue, Orange, Purple, Yellow, Green, Red and Gold)

2.) Short bio about yourself (these will be in the calendars also).

Amateur (professional quality) or professional photos - professional highly recommended because of quality. These will be the actual photos going into the calendar so please make sure to have good lighting. We require the ORIGINAL copy of the photo if chosen [MAXIMUM RESOLUTION - straight from digital camera]

You can wear a bikini, lingerie or even a fitness outfit but please no nude photos.

Prizes
14 winners will receive:
1) Each model that is chosen will have their photo published in our calendar
2) Any 4 products of choice
3) CL beanie

Grand prize winner:
1) Will be the cover model

I am so tired right now. The first time I was cutting for my first two comps I cut down my work load in half. I knew I was going to be uncomfortable financially but I also knew that once it was over I would make the money back. Now this cutting phase is different. I made my money back but I’m keeping my work load the same and now I have zero leisure time. From the time I get up to the time I go to bed I’m either eating, exercising or/and working. Most of the time I find myself multi-tasking. Actually that’s what I’m doing now. While I’m waiting for a program to download I’m writing in my blog.

Oh by the way. My friend AJ showed me a new exercise for my legs last week. What we do is go to the basketball side of the gym and do 25 steps of walking lunges. Once we hit 25 we sprint for 5 counts, stop and do 25 more walking lunges and sprint for another 5 counts. The first time I did it I couldn’t make the second set of sprints. The goal is to do  100 walking lunges divided into two sets with 10 seconds of sprinting in each set. Your legs will hate you for it the next day. This is probably the ONLY exercise I refuse to do by myself. This is so intense that I MUST have him do them with me or else it won’t get done. Guess what?  Tomorrow is leg day.

curt_james - What weight do you want to come in at for August?

I never got a chance to answer this question so I’m going to use my blog entry for today to answer it.

The weight I would love to come in at with 6% bodyfat is 160 lbs. I Weighed at 155 for my first comp and weighing 153 lbs for my second comp didn’t feel right. This is truly a culture thing. When I was 155 lbs my white friends were  like “WOW! You look great! What’s your secret” while my black friends were like “WTF? B1tch you need to eat!”

I must admit that I TOO didn’t like being that small. We black women love our curves. So I found myself sabotaging my cut last month. But now I’m back being focused and disciplined. My last comp will be in November and after that I’m going to concentrate on gaining muscles so I don’t have to weigh so light next year during my comps. I’ve made peace with myself in losing as much bodyfat as possible. Even if it causes my black friends to complain I must do it so that I don’t have to worry about it much for next year.

For example, Last year I had major cellulite.  It all went away by the month of march. Even though I gained 15 - 20lbs back the cellulite didn’t come back. The fat in my legs and ass did but not the cellulite so I’m beginning to see how this bodyfat stuff works. If I can get the body fat in my legs as low as possible I won’t have to worry about losing too much weight for 2009 as long as I gain more muscle. So after losing as much bodyfat and I can mentally handle I’ll focus on gaining at least 5 pounds of muscles.

We’ll see how things pan out. Ok, it’s time to get to work before leaving for the gym later this afternoon.

Yes, Yes, I’m still here and no I’m not off hiding in internet land with another secret blog. My internet time has been limited due to my comp prep. But to make it up to you folks I decided to post a picture of something to include in your bulking (for those crazy enough to bulk).

This idea came from my favorite politically incorrect cartoon shows called "The boondocks". The cartoon created this fictitious meal and Krispy Kreme brought the rights to it and made it a real food item.
