THE SUMO DEADLIFT….FLIPPIN WOW!!!
Hello Folks!
So I am doing my heavy leg day routine on Monday…Smith Bar Squats and Lunges, Plie Squats, Hack Squats…And Joe Random Trainer Ex-Pro Football player dude comes over to me and says "Hey why don’t you do Sumo Deadlifts?" I am like I do plie squats with a single dumbbell today and straight leg deadlifts on back day…He was like let me show you something.
Holly Sh*t! I didn’t know that could work that far up on my inner thigh…after 4 sets of 15 at 75lbs, I really felt it the next day and there was a very noticible tautness in my inner thigh area and it hit my glutes in a new and exciting way. This move is kinda like a traditional deadlift accept your feet are well past shoulders with toes pointed out. The bar is almost right up against your shins. You drive through your heels, back is flat. If somebody has a demo on this it is so worth it.
I am going to incorporate this move for the next 6 weeks and see what happens. And as for ex-football player dude he did get my number wants to hang out…and he insisted on doing an assessment on me tomorrow…We shall see. Also he is going to show me how to properly execute good mornings to hit the hamstrings alittle tougher. He also is a competitive bodybuilder.
