back in the game

Well the knee brace is off and tomarrow is gym day for me. I’m going to work on some light cardio on the treadmill and maybe do my squats torn between that and benching on the smith machine. My workplace gym finally got it fixed so i can do my thing again without having a bunch of guys talk shit while i work out. Honestly guys trying to pick up chics in the gym when they are working out is a bit annoying and pathetic. I go there to workout not to get a date let me do my thing buddy. Now i just have to deal with the guys i work around.lol fun times

Well I’m certain now that the fitness gods are against me. Went to the gym last night did my lil run and did a few weights. Took it light since I knew I just got over the hip issue. Left went home cleaned up and crashed out. Woke up this morning and I couldnt bend my right leg. Had to go and see the Doc after my first couple hours at work since my boss was tired of seeing me gimp around. Turns out her mommy instincts were right. I jacked up my miniscus and am on orders from the doc to stay off of it for 7-10 days. then he gave me this nifty leg brace soIlook like a pirate when I walk. So not cute. So yeah I’mliving it up now sitting at  the desk and trying toshift my leg around so I dont smack it into things around me. Already found out that doesnt feel to good.

I’m not sure what the hell I did if I pushed myself to hard after being sick and got hurt or if I’m just getting way to damn old way to quick. In the last couple days I managed to pull a muscle in my right shoulder so that when I stretch it out forward its a strain feeling and at some points in my day it feels like I might of partially popped it out of place. The second thing is my hips might be a combination of pages 62 and 78 of the kama sutra or possibly from working out so much but my hips are so freakin sore. If I try to do knee raises its a total pull side leg lifts while standing help relieve the stress but not so much that its completly gone. Tried a bit of yoga but that just made it hurt more adn not in a positive way. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve been popping aleve and midol (what ever is on hand) and been wrapping my hip in a electric blanket on and off for 15-20 minutes at a time and a heating pad for my shoulder. Going to see the doc on monday if this keeps up. This is just nuts.

4 weeks left

Well 4 weeks left till I go home to see my family. Last time they saw me I was 22 just before my 23rd b-day and a flabby 180s. I’m down to the low 170’s and getting tighter but now its crunch time so I can really wow them. They know I have had issues with it and I caught some flak growing up cause of my size from my grandma. 6th grade (12-13 years old) I was 150-160lbs lectured all the time about how I was fat. 8th grade I was just over 200lbs so you can see how it didnt impact my views. Still ate alot and enjoyed myself I just avoided the nagging. Not till now did I even really care about how I looked but when your grandmother and aunt were both in the Miss Oklahoma and Miss USA pageants in their days you atleast know you gotta put up a good front. Not sure why I’m going so in detail with all this but yeah any and all weight loss tips and support you guys can help give me would be great. Nows when I’m really going to be needing it. Trying to drop atleast another ten pounds before I see them all again.

just a little bit of progress

Well after a week of being sick and not getting to the gym i didnt make much progress. Two pounds and a little bit in inchs. I’m hitting a little bit of a snag. Add to it my regular routine is a bit messed up now that I’m on day shift. Had been working out on night shift but now that I’m on day shift I’m having to master working out after work which 12 hours of running around like a chicken with out its head makes life a lil difficult.  Anybody know a good way to kick start a workout after a long day?

Finally got over the bug ran two miles this morning after work and did a lil bit of free weights and ate a huge amount of food yesterday that I actually held down. I did gain a few pounds since I hadnt been doing anything but I will have that gone in the next day or two. Thanxs everybody for checking up on me and sending your encouragement.
