Well good news bad news.

Hot peppers are widely accepted to increase metabolism. I have read that they can increase metabolism by up to 20%. The downside is that the effect is temporary and studies have it to last around 30 min. No one is sure if the effect goes beyond that time frame.

If you are into spice another "fun" (it is all relative) fact is that many spicey sauces contain capsaicin which is what gives the sauces the "hot" taste is shown to suppress appetite. I remember seeing some study saying that men who used hot sauces on an appetizer ate 200 fewer calories at lunch and in a later snack than those who did not.

Just eat your rainbow of vegetables/fruits and you'll be fine.

haha, yes I love costco! It's great! I baked the whole bunch of asparagus I bought there today too. :) I wanted to buy grapefruit but didn't think I needed 15lbs of it! lol Spinach, eggs, chicken breast and mixed berries were also on my list!

As for the peppers, i see how they probably don't have much nutritional value but they are a great way to add flavor and anything that detoxes sounds good to me!

You had me at Costco!! As for the peppers, not sure of their nutritional value, but I have long been a believer in Jalepeno's for their detoxing abilities.
