Started a new workout and I love it!!

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Ok I’ve been looking around for a new workout the past few months and I think I found one that will really push me to the limit. Most of you know the “O” was just a few weeks ago and there were some AWESOME bodies that were on display. After watching the results and looking to what some of the top bodybuilders did during the off season I looked up Hany Rambod. Anyone that knows Hany knows that he’s trained many bodybuilding champs. Well I started his FST-7 workout. HOLY S*** that is some serious lifting. Since this is my first few weeks training like this it going to be a work in progress. I have to see how my body reacts of the next month or so. If you’re curious about it, look up Hany and I’m sure you’ll be surprised.

Lastly, I know everyone is looking for pics and I promise they are coming. I’m in the process of moving and I can’t find my cam anywhere!!!

Go hard or Go home!!! Gifted

It’s Official!!!

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Well after taking some time to think and gather information I’ve decided to do it. I’ve decided to train and compete next year!!!! The decision was not a hard one but it definality wasn’t easy.

Life has a way of smacking you around and the past few years haven’t been easy for me. I’ve lost so much and it may not be over. My workouts and my time at the gym are a “happy place” for me to clear my mind and pray. So I figure why not? Why can’t I train, eat properly and get on stage next year? The only thing that’s stopping me is me and I’m not about to let that happen.

With that said any advice, encouragement or just kind words would be greatly appreciated. I’m hoping once a good friend of mine wins the figure Olympia this year (go girl) I can get some tips on how to get started on my journey.

I’m excited and a little bit nervous at the same time. I’ve learned the Life is too short so you better make the most of it, and that’s exactly what I plan to do!!!

Not happy with my N.O. product

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Im a HUGE fan of N.O. I’ve always had very good results from using N.O. so recently I decided to try a different brand. Normally I will use either Muscletech’s NaNox9 or BSN’s N.O.-Xplode but I didnt feel like ordering online the last time I needed to re-up so I made the trip to my local GNC, bad idea. For those who really shop for their supplements you know that GNC can be $15-20 buck higher then ordering online but I sucked up it a brought a GNC version of N.O. just to try it out. No surprise that it works but its not even close to using nanox9 or n.o-xplode. I guess I got what I paid for.

So even though my workouts are going good(high intensity and pushing good weight) I’m done with GNC brand product. As soon as I finish the bottle of N.O. I got from them its back to nanox9(love the stuff!!!)

Just wanted to get that off my chest because I’ve become more of a hater of GNC then I’ve ever(except when I need a shake, then it’s all good, lol)

Let me know if you’ve used a good N.O. product that worked well for you. Until then remember, life is to short so enjoy ever second of it!!

It won’t be easy

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

I just realized just how much weight I’ll need to put on if I decided to compete next year. Getting up to 220lbs of ripped muscle won’t be easy but I’m up for the challenge!!!!

Rude awakening

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

So I got up this morning after a good nights sleep and I took a good look at myself in the mirror. To my surprise I realized that other then dropping a few pounds I hadn’t changed much in the past month. I have to admit it that’s not how I wanted to start my monday.

While in the shower it hit me just how much work it will take to reach my goals and I can’t wait to hit the gym today. Some of you already know but I’m looking into doing a show in a little over a year. I realize just how much work it will take to get my body into shape. It’s on thing to take a good pic or to look good in the gym but it’s completely different getting contest ready!

It’s been a rough start to my Monday but nothing is going to stop me. More research and hitting the gym with a new found focus!

Seriously thinking about doing a show next year

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

I’ve been working out to stay in shape for awhile now and I love it. I’m one of those guys that love a total body workout. I was talking to a friend of mine who happens to be training for the figure Olympia this year(yeah she’s that good) and mentioned I was thinking about training to do a show in 2010. She was totally excited and told me I should definality do it!

I can go to the gym and workout with the best of them but I think at this point in my life I need a new challenge. The thought of training to do a show really gets my juices going. After talking to my friend I had one of the best shoulder workouts I’ve had in years. Mind you I’m 6′0" 205 lbs and guys are coming up to me asking for advice(I’m definality not the biggest dude or best body in the gym but thats telling me I’m doing something right).

So as for now I’m getting all the information on how I’d need to train and what it takes. I’m really excited about the chance to get on stage and prove that I can reach my goals. If anyone has recently started training for a show or has any tips or advice hit me up!!

Looking forward to another great week

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Whats up everyone, its been a few weeks since I did a post so I figure I’d better do one today. I’ve had a great few weeks of training. Definality seeing a big difference in my body since heading back to the gym instead of working from home). I’ll be having new pics up by the end of the week so check me out and let me know what you think.

Here’s the plan for this week

 Monday - Back and Cardio

 Tuesday - Chest

 Wednesday - Hamstrings and Quads

 Thursday - Shoulders and Cardio

 Friday - Biceps and Triceps

Saturday - Cardio with my 7 month old Pit Dolce (I think she’ll actually be taken me for a run, haha)

 Sunday - Rest

I’ll hit my abs 3 times over the week. I like to get my workout in and then hit my abs when I’m really beat. Something about it seems to make me push that much harder.

After a long weekend( I took off on Friday) I’m looking forward to hitting the gym after work.

Pissed!!!!

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Well last nights workout was pretty much a waste. Golds was so packed that I had to keep waiting and waiting for people to stop the BS and get to work. I swear some days its like the place is more of a social club the a gym. Well at least I was able to get my shoulder workout in.

Today has to be a better day because I could really use a good workout! You know the feeling where you just HAVE to get all the days stress out. Well today is that day!!!!!

Week 3, this should be interesting!!

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Well this week starts week 3 of my training. I’ve been pleased with the results so for but I still have a long way to go. Its going to be tough getting started this week. Busy at work and my birthday was saturday so you can imagine all the food and drinks I had this weekend. Its cool, I’ll be doing a bit more cardio this week to offset my weekend.

For the first time in about 7 months I’m back to taken supplements. I’m a huge N.O. fan so I’ll be taken that along with my norms of whey, animal pak and getting decent rest.

Hopefully within the next 2 weeks I’ll have some progress pics to post.

Back to the grind at work, so much fun!!

Starting Week 2

Monday, June 15th, 2009

Ok folks starting week 2 at Golds and it should be a blast. I feel really good even if my energy level is a bit down(it was a crazy weekend with the Pens winning the Stanley Cup friday night).

This week I really start pounding weight, my weekly goal is to really have another solid week of workouts and cardio and break a few personal best aka maxing out. It may not seem like much of a goal but if your weekly goals are reachable then your overall goals are that much closer to being obtained.

My diet has been awesome the past 3 weeks. I can definality tell the advice my homegirl gave me is paying off already. Thanks Amy you’re the best!

Well I’m off to finish work and then to the gym.
