I know exactly where u are, just now starting to push it on the weight now. I really gained a lot of strength doing exactly what u are doing for a year or so, even broke all my old strength records! Just take it easy, enjoy the pump, and the strength and size will come without even noticing it.

I've seen this before. Be VERY patient. When you constructivly critize their technique they'll think your attacking. I've seen this happen with 2 friends and I've experienced it personally... that's 3 for 3. Anyway they all have eventually come around and are great workout partners. Be patient and don't push...to hard. Good luck.

Does your gut ever regret the cheat meal? Mine does. Seems like I'll eat clean for a while then have a cheat meal (usually some form of fast food) and all of a sudden I'm the stinkiest SOB in the entire world!

I know how you feel man. One bad meal does the same thing to me. It's like your body craves more bad stuff once it gets a taste. The other day, I went out to eat and ate a moderately healthy meal. What I usually do for the next meal(s) is fill up on protein bars. I figure they are better than a big mac, and taste great too. Or I fill up on my cereal, Kashi Go Lean (great stuff) because it's full of fiber, which won't put on the lbs as much as other stuff. So the main thing is to feed yourself quick before you give in. I hope this helps you.

Phew... I was beginning to think I was the only one out there with the same problem of having negative influences and people who just don't understand!! That's why I love it here on my BB.com "home" ~ we are all a family and we need to stick together!!! I'm glad you are getting back in the gym and feeling better! Thanks for your comment. I realize that I can look like crap for a couple hours a day so I can look fabulous the other 22 hours of the day and to be the best me I can be in just a few months!! Hang in there and best of luck!!

hey! i know how hard it is being/feeling "trapped" while recovering from surgery-i know it sucks even worse not being able to work out for a little while, but as armedandfabulous siad, try to occupy your mind with POSITIVE things..please dont be like i was and start working out/running/lifting before you get clearance to do so~did you just have a scope or was it more envasive? it will be very tempting to move around more than you should bc im sure the doc wants you to keep moving to help with ROM? or you may be still too sore to even think about moving around much? anyways, i hope you do have a fast recovery, when you are feeling a little better you can still do lower body stuff in the gym-stationary bike is great for cardio bc you dont have to move upper body so much.....hang in there though-this too shall pass and hopefully youll be back at the gym faster than expected and back to full force!
hope your holidays are happy!
