thanks for the help

Monday, November 24th, 2008

i was about to eat a cupcake someone made and had bought to work for thanksgiving but put it down because i knew it wasn’t worth it.  sometimes you hear from people that you are crazy, 1 cupcake isn’t going to kill you,  just make today your cheatday.  I hear that everyday, and if i cheated everyday because someone wanted me to eat a cupcake i would never get any results.  It kind of makes  you think wow am i the only person who cares what they put into there body, as you watch all your co- workers and friends eat cupcakes and be jolly.  but then i got onto this site and realized that i am not crazy, there are tons of us who want the same things, have the same goals and are going through the same problems, and it felt good to know that i am not alone.  i know there are millons of us who care about working out and fitness but to have access to talk to everyone and see progress pics of people is very insparational to see.  now when i reach for junk food i think of all the bodyblogers that i have spoken to and i don’t want to let them down.  right now i am inactive because of a shoulder injury and am having surgery the day before thanksgiving and will be having alot of free time to be on this site and i just wanted to say thanks to everyone of us so called nuts ( health freaks) for the motivation while i am sidelined with injury.  keep up the good work

bad news

Friday, November 7th, 2008

I just found out on monday that i have a torn labrum in my shoulder and will need surgey to fix it.  i haven’t lifted andy wieghts since late july because of the injury and now i won’t be lifting any intil sometime next year.  it is fun to watch your body respond to lifting wieghts,  your skin feeling tight and everytime you move feeling the muscle working, there is nothing like it.  now i am on the opposite side of things, i haven’t lifted in a while and i see myself shrinking, all that hard work that i will have to redo,IT KILLS ME.  I am still doing cardo, i run about 20 miles a week just to make myself feel better and not go nuts while i am losing all the muscle that i had.  i figure after my surgery i am going to try to learn how to cook healthy meals for myself, since i am going to have ton of time and nothing to do with it.  i just have to stay positive, i am starting the road to recovery and i can’t wait intill i can pick up that first dumbell again.
