Great Day

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Had a great day at the gym today. Worked back and biceps and felt great. pushed more weight than I had planned and had plenty of energy to really tear myself up. Had a really good pump in my arms and my back even felt pretty good. Still have a little soreness in my lower back but that is just something that I have gotten used to since it will never go away. I really think that I will have a good week and meet or exceed all of my goals for this week. I have legs to do tomorrow and I amost always have a good workout then (I love working legs for some strange and sadistic reason). I have started trying to get in a few days of cardio as well but not sure how long that success will last.

Lifting more

I have been continuing to push myself and am beginning to see some improvement to the amount of weight I can lift. I have been working hard to improve my compound exercises like the deadlift and squat and finally getting to see effects. I have been leary about these two especially as I have three herniated disks in my back but with perfecting the technic and starting really light I am feeling more comfortable doing these mass building exercises. I have definitely noticed more definition in my arms and shoulders over the past couple of weeks and I think that my back is beginning to show improvement also. I just have to start working now on dropping the weight around the middle now.
