Mind muscle connection

I have been reading on this site as well as hearing it for awhile about the "mind muscle connection" and I really paid attention during my last workout and I have found that apparently I do not yet have that connection. Try as I might i really could not get a good feel for the particular muscle I was working. I guess that I have alot of work to do in this area. I have also recently discovered that flexing/posing is no small chore either. I have been trying to work on this in the mirrow and am finding alot of difficulty in getting the proper muscle to flex (especially in the back area). These are new things for me as I have in the past just been working on staying somewhat fit but now would like to really work on gaining size and definition.

Good workout today

I had a pretty good workout today, trying to gain some size right now but am a little baffled at my lack of growth. My measurements have held steady now for over six weeks since I started this workout routine. I have been pushing pretty heavy for 3-4 sets of 6-8 reps but the only change is a gain of about one pound on my weight. Guess I will have to try something else to "shock" the muscles differently. Also since I want to put on mass I have been careful to not under eat which I think is why I have been putting on a little weight. Oh well, more work to do!
