Scale lied again!
I have been working out to failure, eating clean, at least I thought. A couple weeks ago I weighed in, the scale said gain of 4lbs. and up 0.1% body fat. I was so happy, I thought I finally figured out how to gain mass with out adding to much body fat. I have been eating loads of protein, through foods, whey protein and casin protein. On my major meals I would eat a carb, rice, potatoe, whole wheat bread. I was eating my veggies too. Just some examples. I got sick this pass week and to a point still am. Im not sure if its the flu or reaction to the brown recluse spider bite I got. But stomache is still upset a bit.
So, this morning I got on the scale weight 178, bf 21.4. Im not happy. Im not even sure, now, if the diet I was trying to follow was working. I have been trying to get a trainer, someone who could point me in the right direction, but I dont have the funds to pay for one now. So, now, im not sure what to do. Im really hoping that this weight lose is a result of the flu or spider bite.
Can anybody give some advice
Lost!

Please don’t believe the BF on the scales. They can be very inaccurate. Keep doing what you are doing…sounds like a good plan. If anything, if you are not losing the BF that you want, cut back on the starches and have them only after your training. Keep up the good work!

the scales that measure bodyfat should not be taken seriously, they are easily thrown off. If you have a high amount of electricity in your body that can throw it off.
I got mine done at the gym because my scale was depressing me. they had one of those stupid bf% scales, I told the lady I didn’t think it would be right. She looked at the number and said "uh no way that’s right"
It had me at 31% bodyfat a year and half ago, she did calipers and I was 18% that’s when I learned how static electricity in your body can throw it off among other things, get some calipers or have someone at the gym do it for you.
