I have been working out to failure, eating clean, at least I thought. A couple weeks ago I weighed in, the scale said gain of 4lbs. and up 0.1% body fat. I was so happy, I thought I finally figured out how to gain mass with out adding to much body fat. I have been eating loads of protein, through foods, whey protein and casin protein. On my major meals I would eat a carb, rice, potatoe, whole wheat bread. I was eating my veggies too. Just some examples. I got sick this pass week and to a point still am. Im not sure if its the flu or reaction to the brown recluse spider bite I got. But stomache is still upset a bit.
So, this morning I got on the scale weight 178, bf 21.4. Im not happy. Im not even sure, now, if the diet I was trying to follow was working. I have been trying to get a trainer, someone who could point me in the right direction, but I dont have the funds to pay for one now. So, now, im not sure what to do. Im really hoping that this weight lose is a result of the flu or spider bite.
Can anybody give some advice

Some people get the flu, a cold, down on themselves. What ever it is that keeps us from working out. Me, I get bit my an eight legged creature with fangs, in the beginning of winter. A brown spider that lives around wood, that is my culprit. Regardless, doc says no working out for a couple of days..ugh! I was just getting into my workout!…

Ok, I know I shouldn’t believe a scale that much. Today I stepped on it. I lost another 4 lbs., great, right?! I didn’t want to go below 180, I was at 181, now 177. My bodyfat, went from 20.6 to 23. I change my diet to a high protein, low carb diet, in hoping to shed more fat. Yes, things fit better, but why is my bodyfat going up. What am I doing wrong? Can anybody please give me some advice.
Fustrated!

So, Im one of these people working the P90X program, learning how to eat right to lose fat and some basic exercises to build muscle. I made my last phase a week longer. So, this is my last week of weights and cardio, before cardio and core, and my 90 days or so pics. I’ll stop beating around the bush. Been eating right, and picked up so low dollar N.O. stimulator, that was a waste. I got Super Charge Xtreme N.O. yesterday, drank loads of water today. I think I was in the bathroom, more then my desk…lol. And I get home, mix this stuff up, change my music for my work out and BAM! Im pumped like never before! focused! craving the next rep! the next exercise!! Is it a mental thing, hell I dont know. But now that I have this feeling. Im not letting it go. I can’t wait for tomorow…guess the animal is coming out on HELLOWEEN!!!

Nothing new, got up this am, did the shower thing, got dressed and wholey sh*t. I had to pull the belt another notch. That is three inches off my waist, which theroritcally would put me at a size 31! I have not been at that size since high school. Im working at leaning up for my last set of pictures, from this P90X workout. It does work. Its not the workouts so much as it is the diet.
Now Im stoked! After this will go to a mass building phase for 2-3 month, and hope I can put on 10 lbs of mass. I know its alot of food and supplements, but I do feel. Im worth it! I can’t remember being this fit. Between the motivation from others, and the articles on this site, Im sure I will reach my goal. Then I can start P90X all over again, and have a nice body to show off next summer.

Started my last ph. of P90X today. Which exercise wise, isn’t any different then the first week. But the diet is. I have to cut my protein intake from 6 servings to 3, carb. intake from 3 to 4, fruits from 1 to 3 and same with fruit. You’d think it would be easy, its gonna take a week to get use to this.
Now, as for the work out. I have read thru different profiles on this site. You just haven’t worked out hard enough, if you haven’t felt like you were gonna throw up. Well, I got that feeling about half through the work out, but I continued. Wow! what a feeling, thank goodness there was a bathroom close, even though I didn’t need it.
Moving on.

Well, tomorow is the day for 2nd set of progress. Some pics Im stoked about, others, eh, but I need to take them. I’ve met alot of great people from this site and all have helped me in my journey one way or another. The best part of this workout, P90X, is I’m learning nutrition, what I need to do and eat to gain mass, then to strip it off.
The things im seeing the most are, pants size dropping two sizes. I have a new wardrobe, I can wear and didn’t even have to leave my house. Friends all around are seeing the difference. And all the ladies at work hate me now! And I didn’t even say anything..LOL! I have explained some of the work outs I do, and they keep saying "I can’t do that". Well either could I in the beginning.
I’m looking forward to my new body, adding mass in the winter and starting this 90 day program all over again, so i can be in shape for summer!!!
I’ll be able to take my tank top off, and feel good about it! HELL YEAH!!!
