DDDDone with excuses!!

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

Today starts my diet..workouts have really been awesome..but i have seen NO movement on the scale..so i am ready to tackle my biggest demon, FOOD.  I know it isnt a totally clean approach, but i my first step in the diet is be consistant the next 2 weeks with the following plan:

~ No resturant food of ANY kind

~ Cardio at least once EVERYDAY

~ Weight training at least every other day

~ No alcohol (i rarely drink, but i like having something on the list that is an easy one for me)

~ Increase water intake

~ Eggs in the morning at least every other day (this is a toughy for me)

~ No less than one protein drink a day

~ Continue to add clean choices

Hoping this will be the start of real change and better diet focus for me.  I have the 2 week timeline, as i have never stayed with a food plan for more than a week at a time and i have a great reward instore for me for my focus and motivation!!

Wish me luck and feel free to offer encouragement anytime!!

Food Issues as Always

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

My biggest area of concern has always and probably will always be food.  I have always been "picky" with my food choices and really don’t enjoy cooking or food preparation at all.  I have tried to go "clean" more times then i can count in the past 6 months..but the longest i have made it was like 5 days..which was a huge effort.  Then i notice when i focus so much on food, and then have a slip, i beat myself up so much for "failing" that my workouts slip too.  So, i am switching it up a bit, focusing more on my workouts as i blend in "cleaner" food choices.  I know that food is so important to change my body, but i think if i get my workouts more as an expected/normal/needed part of my day, then i can focus on just my diet instead of trying to balance both diet and exercise at the same time.

I had a really rough monday, didnt get my morning workout in, and yes, i will admit it, was just horribly hormonal.  I didnt end up working out in the evening either, which i know would have helped my attitude, but what i DID do right on monday was that i did not turn to food for comfort..which is a BIG step for me.  Since i made it through monday, yesterday and today have been much easier to think "cleaner" food choices..now i just have to keep going..keep going..keep going!!
