Note to self…Don’t get cocky.
When it comes to weights I never thought there was a shoe requirment so 4 days out of the 5 day routine I wear flip flops. I go to a wide variety of Gyms and some mind it and some don’t. I was just getting done with my third set of BB Overhead Press when I heard a voice around the corner, and I thought it was the althletic director who’s a real dick and I just knew he was gona tell me to put shoes on.
I wasn’t paying attention to the 35 I was taking off one side and forgot I had a 5 pounder behind it. Well you can guess what happened next and my foot is in a little pain today. In my head I was telling my self "if that @@shole comes in here and says one thing to me, I might just light him up" well it wasn’t the athletic director, it was some old guy on a stationary bike having a conversation. No one saw what happened, but it made me realize I need to regain my focus on the Gym and why I’m there. Today went a little better and tomorrow is the end of wk 21, but next week I’m taking off and just doing cardio and abs. Maybe that will help me regain the true passion of why we are all in the Gym.
