So I have been training my legs pretty hard since my last show and have begun to start cutting weight for my next comp in 13 weeks. I have been excited because normally my legs are the very last thing that begins to come in on me, so I normally have to diet real hard at the end of a show prep to get some seperation in my quads. However, in only a couple weeks of dieting I have begun to see cuts already as well as some veins starting to pop out…it’s making me hopeful that I will not have to go hard at the end and loose alot of size in an attempt to get my legs to come in. Wish me luck!

Went home for the holidays to see the folks and had every intention of eating healthy to a point as well as lifting. Instead I ended up taking the whole week off of lifting and being concious of eating but still eating at least a bit of everything. So I thought that this morning at the gym would be hard, but I haven’t felt that great of a pump in a little while. I was so swollen when I was finished. Didn’t sacrifice any strength and to be honest, my shoulder that normally starts to get sore didn’t act up at all.

I have been eating like crap ever since the show about 2 weeks ago, the bloating has gone down, but all the water in my skin is there and I wouldn’t even think that I was ripped 2 weeks ago to look at me. The only thing that I have been doing is keeping my Protein counts high as I have been mass gaining. However as of today I am starting to log out my diet again, and gonna eat clean to get rid of the water and hopefully gain some size, but get rid of a lot of the water and excess that I am holding onto right now.

So after being out massed at my previous showeing decided to really try and add some mass. Been at it for a week and a half, and boy do I feel it. I get so swollen and my muscles are so fatigued after only 3 excersizes with 3 working sets, the last being till failure with drop sets. I would have weighed in at the last show at 178, and hopeing that I will weigh in at 180 but be a bit more cut out for the next show in May. Wish me luck…

So over the weekend My fiance and I competed in another show. Now the first show that we did, she bloated up really bad for about 10-14 days but I didn’t. This time however, the both of us have started to bloat like she did before. Does anyone have any advise on how to minimize the bloating or know the reason why? My assumption is from the carbs and water intake together being a shock to the body. We are taking a diuretic to try and combat the bloat but it’s to early to tell if it’s gonna work yet.

So since my fiance has had to work in the evening now that she is coaching gymnastics, we have started to work out in the morning now. Have been doing it for a few days now and I have never done this before. I haven’t noticed a loss of strength that I would have thought I would have, but it does really start my day of early. It’s different, and I suppose that I will see how it goes in the future as we prepare for our next show in 11 weeks.

So as I check the site and see a lot of people that have posted updates of there progress with rear double bi pics. This is a good pic to see some weight loss, but what I have noticed is everyone is scrunching there shoulders together to make themselves less wide. This pose is supposed to be wide with a flexed back. This will show so much more definition as, if you are loosing weight you will begin to develope a "christmas tree" in the center and the teres’ will begin to show around the delts as well. By scrunching the back your really not seeing the muscles in there optimum form, but all scrunched together to give the elusion of muscles.
Just something that I have noticed and thought I would give a shout out.
