I did it.
A lot of mixed emotions.
Running was truly inspirational. Whenever I felt tired, weak, and alone I looked beside me and saw the same people suffering. So much encouragement from reading the back of a stranger's shirt; running for their lost loved ones, their family, their health. I could feel the encouragement from the crowd, the motivating words from the runners that passed by, shouts from bystanders.
Not sure how many black toenails I have yet. I already got rid of my blisters. Next up is a sports massage.
And no running for a while
My body is able to sustain higher speeds for longer distance which I am proud of. I've also made improvements in my breathing pattern/form so I am not out of breath. My inattention is improving as I do not need music to fuel my runs now. I haven't tried any of the energy chews I've purchased yet as I am saving them for next week's long distance run. I also haven't consumed coffee to fuel my workouts or used a pre-workout supplement either. All in all, good week for improvement.
Here's to Katie carrying me through all the obstacles. Just kidding haha.
I meant dragging my half-dead body
My group was chosen!!!!!!!!!! You're on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's to catabolizing all the muscle I've worked for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JK Ha-ha.
I told my friend I noticed I was the only one doing the full marathon. In her words, "Cause you cray cray...lol" ****. I know.
Oh well. :D
I am so going to burn my ass
*Pardon my camera phone's poor picture quality
I am a bit saddened that I won't be doing the Warrior Dash at the end of April like I originally planned due to work. That's ok though. Now I can do one closer to me and get friends to do it! Plus I have more time to work on bodyweight exercises like dips, push-ups, and pull-ups.
So....Warrior Dash you can tote that you are all fun and games but when it comes down to it, I am all business. See you in a few months....
Also, I told my friend I will only register for a marathon in Sept. until she gives me her confirmation # lol. I can't really threaten bodily harm but maybe I can throw the biggest fit a 2 year old could pull. Kidding...that'd be more humiliating for ME.
**I'm getting really annoyed with the format for posting pictures
