Lessons in humility and grace
Often we find ourselves so entranced in our own battles that it blindsides us to what is going on around us. Some of us do this by choice, some don't.
I think it is healthy to step outside of yourself and whatever inner struggles you are having to mind others. Our demons often want us to self-destruct and sometimes when we are weak we don't want to seek help or solace from others. But by answering questions, paying attention to others, acknowledging them for their existence, I think this helps quiet those demons inside because you ignore them for a time. And their voices get quieter and quieter.
It is valiant and courageous to fight your own battles, but by neglecting help in the form of insight...that is naive. Sometimes like creating your own prison.
There is no need to be so self-righteous.
If there is something you can do to brighten someone's day, do it. For free if you can. Or teach them something and watch them grow.
Practice MENTAL humilty and grace.
As the quote goes, be the person you want to meet.

Great words and philosophy to live by. This is the roadmap for human enlightenment... which I followed for as long as I could - and eventually became swallowed by those demons within... as I was surrounded by nothing but a reflection of those around me struggling with the same. This is great practice. But in my experience I have to say the world is real, raw, and unforgiving... and the demons have kept me safe. I confess an ability to admire this (what you've written) in others, and even express it myself. We could all use a bit more of this, and I hope we're all headed in that direction.
