Thoughts on Intermittent Fasting and "The Warrior Diet"
I was introduced to intermittent fasting by a friend and came upon leangains.com. Very insightful information. I had to learn more so I bought "The Warrior Diet" by Ori Hofmekler. In the last 28 days I can already feel that I've shed lbs AND bodyfat. I think everyone should find a diet that is right for them. I adapted quickly since I enjoy coffee and tea. I had more free time to be productive, and like the book says, a more spiritual connection was made.
What's interesting is that when I get cravings they are for chicken with onions and peas lol.
I don't know how long I'll continue, if I do, I may tweak a few things here and there. But overall, happy I decided to go against the grain and try something new.
That's why I hate it when people argue on forums about the right way to do this or that when you're dieting or working out. Everyone's different. Just have to find you're groove.
That is right. I can say the same for going on the Paleo diet and how it has worked well. One thing I think we miss, is the fact that when we go on a structured nutrition plan, we're opt to see some kind of results simply due to the fact that it's a structured plan. It helps eliminate spontaneous "eatings"...doughnuts at the office, scone at starbucks, jolly ranchers at the tanning salon...etc...
Yea I agree on the fact that everyone is different. I'm on my 4th day of carb cycling (3 low carb, 1 high carb day). First 2 days I had a headache, 3rd day I felt normal and today I've just been doubling the starchy carbs from what I normally eat. Hopefully this brings the changes that I want.
Glad to hear IF has been working for you. Found great results myself. Had to cycle off for a while, but you still see great results throwing it in every now and again, or doing it for a set amount of time.
i had done IF for nine weeks several months ago, and saw some results, but i wasn't really paying attention to what i was eating. then on Christmas i got very particular about it and took a scientific approach using info from rippedbody.jp and i have seen much better results. i am leaner now than i've ever been, and stronger, and have been able to allow an occasional off-day without it disrupting my system. i support IF and will tell anyone from personal experience that it works quite well when done effectively.
