leg workout was a waste

My lunch workout plans were screwed when my 10 am meeting was pushed to 11. I was able to leave work by 2:15… But I had a 3:00 pm training session. So I barely got anything done. It was very frusterating. Oh well. today is back and biceps. And at least I will have plenty of leg strength for some heavy deadlifts!!!

quick - but intense

Yesterday’s workout was brief - but I was spent. I hit up triceps and shoulders on my lunch and completely fried them. I felt a little weak on my seated shoulder presses. I had to drop them down 5 pounds from last week. I had a few training sesions last night. And then when I tried to drive home… The highway was completely stopped about 5 miles from my exit. It was solid ice and a few cars had slid off the road. My drive in this morning was fine though. A bit slow - but the roads were ok. I am going to try to train my legs on my lunch break today. But I have an 11:00 am meeting that I know will run long. Then - I have a 1:00 pm meeting. So that does not leave me much time to get to the gym, train, shower, get back here and eat. So who knows when I will get them in today….

back from a short weekend

This past weekend flew by. 2 Days off was not enough. My chest workout on friday kind of sucked. I hit incline first and felt strong. I was able to work up to 3 good reps with 315. I also hit some dumbell flys and then bench press. I really focused on my calves. They are so sore… I can barely walk. Today I am forced to do a lunch workout - triceps and shoulders.

I ate pretty crappy over the weekend - so it’s time to get back on track. Ugh - chinese buffet. I think I gained 5 pounds from that one meal. This is going to be a very busy week for me. I have a lot more reponsibilites at my job and I have a lot going on. I will be in chicago this weekend. See you at the gym…

Another week…

My workouts this week were pretty good. I really pushed myself. And I destroyed my legs on tuesday. They are still sore today. I have no idea when I will get to workout today though. I really need to start bringing up my calves… So I will be hitting those first in my workouts - twice a week. I have a ‘team challenge’ at work today. I have no idea what that means or what we will be doing. And it is supposed to take all day. Plus I have at least two training sessions. So my workout will likely be cut short.

 No big plans for the weekend. I am helping my brother move - but that’s about it. My weight is down a little - around 216. But my strength has been increasing. See you at the gym! (Sometime??)

Back at it - fully rested!

I took all of last week off from the gym. No workouts. It was hard to do - but my body needed a break. I believe it is good to take a week off every few months and that is exactly what I did. I was also on vacation from work - so I got lots of rest and pigged out. I am now dying to get back at the weights. And start lowering my bodyfat. My joints are feeling great from the break. I still have a slight sinus infection that I am getting over. But it won’t hold me back.

My holidays were a blast. Lost of good times with the family. But as I mentioned - my eating was terrible. So its good to get back to my routine. Today I will be hitting triceps and shoulders. See you at the gym!
