so today has turned out to be pretty good….did some yoga for about 1.5 hrs….found a few poses that weren’t so comfortable on the ol spine, so I shied away from those, but the stretch overall felt awesome…so…tomorrow I brave hitting the pavement again for a run..its been a week since I hit the street and the smell of the early morning air just beacons to me..I don’t know how long I will be able to stand the impact of the feet on the street, but I sure hope its a least 3 miles…I miss it..did I just say that..I miss running…who is this guy that has invaded my body and mind lately??
Thanks to everyone for all the PM’s and kind words when I first posted the injury (pain)…its truly made me feel like part of the family here.
Missing a week of running and lifting is amazing to what it does to the body..i lost a lot of pump…GGGGGRRRR…makes me angry, but I will be back at it tomorrow..Everyone take care and have a great Sunday…

so who is Frydaddy?…
just another person trying to better myself in life..
I was always fit as a kid…started wrestling in the first grade and continued until I was a freshman in college…made the "meat squad" there, also discovered beautiful women and drugs and alcohol in excess which quickly stopped even the meat squad…don’t even know if there is actually a record of me being there..LMAO..oh well….also played 4 other sports in high school so I was always active
I battled drug and alcohol abuse as a young adult, through my 20’s and close to 27 yrs old…smoked like a fiend (2 packs a day for almost 12 yrs or so) At he right old age 29 I blew a disc in my neck and had to have it fused so that put me out of commission for close to a year of any activity except for walking and the 5 lb DB my doctor let me use..I have had 10 other surgeries since then (1996) so needless to say my physical conditioning suffered a great deal(drugs and alcohol didn’t help either)….so here I am..clean, no drugs, 2 fusions in the cervical spine, 2 knee surgeries, a couple of surgeries for hernias and other problems in the groin area, 3 surgeries on my left hand to save a finger and now pushing 41..oh yeah..and near death last year from an allergic reaction to an anti-biotic…yeah..I am a walking M.A.S.H. unit….held together by catgut and staples and some titanium in the neck…but…all I have to say is…I have made it through all of it with the help of God and here I am to get in the best shape of my life by Sept 9 of this year.
Thanks for all your support in making this happen…many of you are very inspirational to me and I greatly appreciate your comments and feedback and budding friendship…best of luck to all of you who read this in accomplishing every goal you set forth before you..

Ok…so week 1 of C3 is done…today is a rest (HA) day..its actually yoga day, to stretch out those muscle I have been contracting all week….its basically a hell day..yoga is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be….I am MR INFLEXIBLE.
But…ran 6 days this week 5 of which were 6 milers and 1 was a 3 miler (had some physical ailments during run {winking at JULES}), lifted every day this week with some good workouts…I felt a bit nauseated and dizzy after yesterdays workout, so I am going to adjust the diet today and put some carbs in…I think I am carb depleted, haven’t had much of any this week except for some brown rice at lunch (1/4 cup daily and dinner maybe twice this week again 1/4 cup). Water intake is good about 3.5 quarts a day.
I have started posting my workouts, actually posting the exercises as I do them daily now. I wish there was a good place to post diet on here so people could see that as well and compare the nutrition to the corresponding workouts….speaking of nutrition, dinner last night was my reward meal….MEXICAN…slow braised pork in a pumpkin seed Mole…..black beans and rice with roasted pepper/tomato salsa…damn…it rocked.
So, week 2 starts tomorrow…back to the running and lifting…everybody have a great Lord’s day today.
