REMIND ME WHY I RUN HILLS???

I was going to go to the Cross Fit affiliate yesterday but I didn’t. Bad me. So instead, I decided I’d run around the lake.. WHY?! i know it’s all hills.. You’re either running up or down.. TO the right or to the left.. Blah.. Blah.. Blah.. So all in all, I went 5.5 miles in 50:39. Sounds really slow and it felt even slower but when I look back at my time and distance and the fact that I no longer have to WALK after the hills, I was rather impressed and happy… And my glutes and hamstrings feel like they went thru a CF WOD.. SUCCESS!!!

Two of our group backed out AFTER the tickets were bought…. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO we have 2 tickets that are available… It’d be really cool to have someone that we know buy them cuz you’ll be sitting next to us! Wait.. that’s not meant as a deterrant.. Our group now consists of Myself, Crlgrl and Fitnblnde5… We’re a fun and funky bunch… Come on.. you know you want them!!!! =)

Now that’s a 3sum I won’t get jealous about… haha.. just teasing…

Today I trained back with my trainer Jay.. We did lots of fun stuff.. Anyone ever do ATY’s??? Fun stuff… Fun stuff… I was feeling the burn in da back when we finished and I was SUPPOSE to do an easy 5 mile run after….

 Well, my girly girl, CrlGrl, tells me about her CF WOD that she did.. Said it was tough but I could do it.. It’s just running and jumping, right??? How hard can that be?? HA! VERY it turns out…

So the WOD is 5 rounds 400M run… 30 jump boxes… 30 wb squats.. for time. I finished in 24:35.. and it took all the Moxie and attitude (which was a plenty today) to finish with out passing out.. My hip flexors are in some pain, tho.. but that’s the price of beauty right??

I still had some energy to burn so I did VERY EASY 30 minutes on the elliptical… just to work things out and keep things movin… Then i went a stretched my flexors on the foam roller.. Looks like I’m having relations with the thing…. Don’t mind me… Me and Mr. FoamRoller’ll just be over there in the corner ;)
